Rosie the Road Workers' Living Wagon

Situated in Upper Inverroy, near Roy Bridge, and with unbroken views to some of Scotland’s highest and most beautiful peaks, Rosie is ideally placed for visitors who are keen to explore the beautiful mountains, glens, lochs and coastal waters of Lochaber, the outdoor capital of the U.K. Rosie was built in 2019 upon an original early 1930’s road workers’ living wagon chassis. Situated in a private position adjacent to our house, Rosie looks out towards  the magnificent Grey Corrie mountains.

Rannoch Moor is a place of peace and tranquillity, there is no noise (after the 9.05pm train) and no light pollution. Weather permitting, you can watch the stars and sunrise while lying in bed, see deer walking in the wood, experience being cosy in the midst of dramatic weather or listen to the dawn chorus. We provide information for local walks and hidden gems, local restaurants and pubs. We provide free parking and storage if you arrive by bike.

Get away from it all in our shepherd's hut located just outside the village of Connel and only a ten minute drive from the bustling seaside town of Oban. The accommodation is located on our family croft (we live on site near to the shepherds hut) with ducks, hens, Hebridean sheep and our two ponies as your closest neighbours. We are surrounded by abundant wildlife such as pine martens and red deer and have outstanding views over unspoiled countryside towards the slopes of Ben Cruachan.
