The Hideout, a peaceful retreat ideal for walkers

The Hideout is a self contained annexe with its own entrance and parking. It is conveniently situated on a private road on the edge of Ilfracombe, with direct access to the Tarka Trail and the Cairn Nature Reserve. In a secluded rural setting, it is only a 20 minute stroll down the hill to the High Street and a few minutes more will take you to the picturesque harbour area. Ilfracombe benefits from free car parks/roadside parking between 6pm - 8am, alternatively, there is a regular bus service.

Our cottage is in a fabulous harbour location right on the Quay and has recently featured on Channel 5's new show Holiday Homes in the Sun! We overlook the harbour beach; Tunnels beach and wedding venue are nearby. The rear courtyard hides a secret sunny garden complete with table and chairs perfect for Alfresco dining and a secluded hot tub. All bedrooms have water views either of the harbour or the Bristol Channel and our garden room has space for wet gear, boards and bikes! Dogs are welcome.

You’ll love my place because the apartment is tastefully furnished and has a really spacious light feel to it.We provide most things to help your stay be an enjoyable one. Sitting in prime position on the coastal path on the quiet side of the harbour, the cottage overlooks the beach and lifeboat station. Boasting a large terrace, it’s a great spot to watch the world go by and, if you’re lucky, a lifeboat launch.
