Vacation rentals with a kayak in Iceland

Die Wohnung ist wirklich sehr schön und gemütlich. Sie ist super ausgestattet und es gab alles was man brauchte. Die Lage ist auch sehr gut, es ist mitten im Ort, aber trotzdem sehr ruhig und mit tollen Blick auf die Berge. Man kann hier richtig entspannen und zur Ruhe kommen. Wir können die Wohnung auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen.

The hosts, Gerður and Óskar, were responsive and proactive in ensuring all was going well during my one week stay by checking in part-way through my stay. I appreciated the privacy given by both the location of the property and the hosts themselves. The location and property, located in Kópavogu, was exactly as described and it was a great jumping off point for exploring the surrounding rural areas and Reykjavik by car. Kópavogur is also more accessible to the airport (KEF) and south-western Iceland. I enjoyed discovering shops, restaurants and bakeries in Kópavogur as it is a more relaxed atmosphere than downtown Reykjavik which is also very accessible from this location. 沿着金色的荒野一路开车，进入Hurandalur农舍的时候，感觉时光倒流，充满了故事感：《秋日传奇》《走出非洲》《廊桥遗梦》……所有光影都是最浪漫而又带一些伤感的电影中最应该有的样子。 这些电影中还应该有一个特别手巧能干的男主人公——农舍主人自己制作的手工家具和丹麦设计大师的古董家具和谐地摆放在一起，每个窗户都是尺寸角度不同的四季画框。 这个离雷克雅未克40分钟车程的现代农舍，看起来承载了那么多故事，其实2024年刚刚建好。夏天的时候我们就想预定，可是没有订到。农舍私家占地700公顷，也就是折合一万亩地，或者7平方公里（700万平方米），真的一眼望不到边！从灰色木栅栏开进来还要很久，旁边有一道小溪蜿蜒流过。 农舍是房子的主人Halldor为妻子和两个孩子度假修建的。里面充满了主人对家人和生活的热爱： 玻璃上贴着很多手作的植物标本，Halldor说是为了防止鸟儿撞到玻璃上制作的。 桌上放着一张手绘地图，告诉住客哪里是桑拿房，蒸完桑拿，小溪的哪个拐弯特别适合洗个露天的溪水澡。 以及如何沿着溪流和火山岩走到湖边，哪里可能会有点滑。 进门的地方挂着防风大衣，摆着四种尺寸的防水靴子，客人都可以使用。 在房子里居然还有非常专业的日本剑山和花剪，是Halldor圣诞节的时候送给太太的。我从田野里剪取红叶黄叶插成茶席花，Halldor说我选的红叶是蓝莓树枝，夏天遍野浆果。 Tony泡了老丛水仙。老师第一次看到冰岛的秋日荒原的时候，就说：“这时候一杯老水仙最适合秋意漫漫。”在荒原中喝老丛水仙，在体感上简直神奇，从头顶一直通到底骨，我们都是如此。可能是环境太清明，这在其它地方从来没有过。 房子有三个卧室，每间本身不大，但都有超大的窗户可以看风景。枕着极光入睡，迎着朝霞醒转。 房子里挂着一个海报，写着： 在沙滩写作，在夏天和秋天阅读； 在冬天和春天阅读，把文字写在风里。

Es war die BESTE Unterkunft in der ich je war. Die Traditionen von Island kann man nicht besser kennenlernen. Kein Strom, kein Internet und trotzdem war ich nie Glücklicher in einer Unterkunft von Airbnb :)

If you’re looking for a peaceful remote location in comfortable surroundings this is the place. As described, it’s 30 km on a gravel road, and will be a bit difficult in winter weather, so don’t plan to leave the valley on a daily basis at those times. However, the atmosphere is part and parcel of this, and I’ll be glad to go back someday. Also, Oskar was very concerned and helpful about making sure we knew when road conditions were slippery, and was willing to hook us up with locals if we were concerned about getting out (which we were not).

Great place to stay in the Husavik area--very peaceful

We had a fantastic stay here! The views from the apartment were so wonderful to wake up to everyday. The place was always warm and cosy which was nice to come into from the cold. Great kitchen set up with everything you need to make meals. We loved using the fire stove for making tea in the evening and toasting marshmallows! Daði was a lovely host, very responsive and gave great recommendations. He was very relaxed and just wanted to make everything easy for us which was very much appreciated and made our time in Iceland all the better! Thank you!

The scenery was amazing. It was wonderful to hang out on the porch, though admittedly a bit chilly in early October. The cabin was very cute, well laid out, clean, and with many small touches that made it wonderful. Only downside was that the hot water does have a strong sulfur smell and the kitchen sink is shallow resulting in water often spraying out of the sink due to the high water pressure. Aside from those two minor issues that place was perfect solitude. One other item to mention is that the nearby waterfall trail was very worthwhile. You park in the nearby small neighborhood and walk up an ATV trail. It was amazing to be the only people around the waterfall and to be able to hike further up the mountains.
