Eydis is the most caring and welcoming host I've ever had. Our arrival was very disrupted because of the weather (strong winds and snowfall), Eydis's dad was waiting for us at the house to make sure we arrived. The house was perfect, and very clean. Eydis was always available to answer our questions and even offered to stay an extra night free of charge because of the weather that prevented our departure. I hope to have the opportunity to cross your path again one day!

I’ve traveled to over 25 countries and decided to book this house on my 3rd trip to Iceland. It’s easily in the top 5 of locations I’ve stayed. The scenery and peacefulness surrounding by birds and flowers to the towering fjords above. The drive from Reykjavik is long, but using the ferry can cut down driving time. There is a variety of hikes, waterfalls, and small towns with grocery stores and gas. I will return here someday.

We had a great time in Ari’s property. Everything is perfect and fully equipped, it is a warm and beautiful place. We walked around and also feed horses, it was fun. We will definitely come again if we visit Iceland in the future.

Location was perfect for sightseeing near and far. The airbnb was very comfortable and warm with a well equipped kitchen. Trausti was a great host. I would highly recommend this place.

Wonderful host, charming Airbnb. Niels was a great host, very welcoming and he offered suggestions on places to see in the area. The Airbnb is charmingly decorated with a variety of antiques. The home was spotlessly clean and the views are magnificent. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Björgvin is a great host and his place was everything our group was looking for. Remote house, with a hot tub, grill and good vibes. The location and the view from the terrace is beautiful with only a few minutes drive to the nearest town. Björgvin was really friendly and offered his assistance if we needed anything which was a nice touch.

Very convenient location for exploring the Snæfellsness Peninsula. Since you can park right outside the front door, moving in is easy. The host responded quickly to any concerns. The only drawback is that the shower wall doesn’t extend far enough, resulting in a wet bathroom floor.

What a great find! The place was perfect and the rooms were spacious, warm and comfortable. The kids loved the hot tub and I loved the books! I read a Steinbeck book which I greatly appreciated. The kitchen was beautiful as was the sunroom. I imagine the sunroom would be the perfect room to see the Northern Lights. The neighborhood was peaceful and we even got to spend a little time with one of the neighbors who was very friendly and helpful. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were very spacious, clean & nicely designed. If you are looking for horseback riding our kids LOVED “Riding Tours South Iceland.” Our stay was absolutely wonderful. I would love to return there someday.

Solid vehicle, super comfortable and warm. A GREAT way to see Iceland if you only have 24hrs! If you are coming from Canada, be prepared for insane gas prices…More than $300 to fill the tank.

We spent two nights at the cabin. It exceeded all our expectations. The house has all the equipment described. The hot tub made a difference. In the middle of nature, well kept and clean. The host is communicative and polite. We would repeat.

This house is beautiful and the view is amazing. We loved soaking in the hot tub while gazing at the glacier in the distance, surrounded by trees. There are stairs to access the house, but we were able to navigate them just fine. The nearby town had a lovely spa, Laugarvatn Fontana, that we enjoyed, and we recommend the restaurant Linden. We stayed two nights and wish we could have stayed longer. The host was responsive and friendly. Highly recommend!

We found this to be the ideal getaway spot for our couple days closer to the Vik area. Conveniently located, beautiful scenery, and we were even lucky enough to see one of the horses take their first steps. 10/10 would recommend if you’re looking for a lowkey spot minutes away from major attractions.

Lovely cottage with amazing views. Cottage was clean, cozy, and exactly what we were looking for. Comfy beds and couch. Loved the covered hot tub - we had windy/rainy evenings, so it was nice to soak while having some weather protection! There is a large windowed sliding door you can open as well to let in cool air in. Host was friendly and communicative, check-in and check-out were very easy. Other pros - there’s a cute restaurant onsite, and we didn’t use them, but also laundry facilities. We’d definitely stay again!

If you’re looking for a quiet getaway that’s also close to attractions around the golden circle (1 hour or even less for Kerid crater) and south coast (1-2 hours depending on where you are going), this is the place. Steinunn’s cabin is up on her family farm property, and it was restful and gorgeous. The only downside is that we only had a few days there - if we had more time we certainly would have explored more of the farm and area around.

Very well equipped and comfortable space. Good kitchen, plenty of hot water for showers and a comfy bed.

Audur's place is very comfortable and truly unique, ideal for a small group of friends or a family. The views are stunning and captivating in any whether. We arrived late in the evening after a long day of travel and were astonished by the welcome and care we experienced that evening. Audur is very kind. She shared many personal favorite sites with us. We will remember both the host and her place fondly as a highlight of our trip .

Great place to stay. Short drive to the airport. Very friendly host. Comfortable beds. Sofa bed was big enough for two kids to share. Would definitely recommend staying here!

This spot is a great private getaway for the golden circle in Selfoss! The accommodation is cozy and lovely. The owners were responsive and kind. The highlight of this accommodation is definitely Skjon the black and white cat! He is the best little greeter and so sweet to cuddle on the porch!

Lovely cabin at a working farm. Dreki, the dog, is so sweet. Curtains in the living room might be nice for a little more privacy, but it was fun watching the horses. Thanks for having us!

There are no words adequate to describe this little piece of heaven on earth. The three days I spent in Bjorgvin's cottage were by far the most magical part of my time in Iceland, including the unforgettable experience of watching whales from the hot tub on my last evening. Bjorgvin was welcoming and helpful in all his communication, the ferry crossing was lovely and simple, and the cottage very quickly came to feel like home to me. I hope I can return again someday.
