Bass Lake-On the water!*Dock*high speed WiFi

ForrestRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
This place is a fantastic place to stay! The house is great for indoor relaxing, very nice pool room with bbqs right outside, plenty of bathrooms with showers, and a wide open living room with a nice kitchen. The pictures do not do this place justice for the backyard. The first walk down area is perfect for a bbq with a large group, including a shack with a fridge and sink. Walking down to the patio over looking the lake and the dock is beautiful. The best part, the dock with prime bass fishing. We must have caught 20+ bass over the course of our stay. During the night, everything is well lit outside and just a beautiful view. We will be coming back 100%

Only 19 miles from Yosemite, 1 mile from Bass Lake

Comfortable rustic cabin. Serene neighborhood- closer to BASS lake - for us it was walkable. Fully stocked kitchen with all cutleries and spices. Bathrooms were clean with basic toiletries- towels, liquid soap etc. Daniel was very friendly, and his communication was clear and helpful. Though washer and dryer were provided, we did not use. Definitely recommend for a family and friends' getaway.

Lakefront Rustic Cabin With boat dock & VIEWS.

AlejandraRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Cory and his wife were fantastic hosts. We rented the cabin for my birthday weekend and even celebrated Easter there. It was lovely to relax in the living room, gazing out at the breathtaking lake view—it’s absolutely stunning! The kids had a blast jumping into the lake by the dock, and we thoroughly enjoyed the spacious area for our Easter scavenger hunt for the teenage boys. Jane even sent me a flyer for a local egg hunt, but unfortunately, I missed it. Regardless, my family thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you both so much. 🫶🏻

Unique Rock House on Redinger Lake

RicardoRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
The rock theme of the house was really cool. The landscaping of the house and the views were amazing. The bed was very comfortable, and there was a great view of the lake from the shower, very aesthetic. Clear and easy instructions for check in and check out. I love the huge DVD collection, lots of classics. And of course, the lake was so pretty and we had a blast kayaking. Overall beautiful location and we had a great stay!

Yosemite, Bass Lake, Cabin on 3 acre Pond, Hot Tub

KellyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
I don’t even know where to begin. Words can’t accurately convey how wonderful our stay at Tom & Louise’s place was. They are the most kind, generous, proactive and welcoming hosts that I’ve ever encountered. Their property was impeccably presented, whilst maintaining a homely feel. The surrounding grounds were incredibly beautiful and peaceful. One of my highlights was waking early and sitting by myself on the swing on the front porch watching the geese and their babies, and just basking in the serenity. My partner and I cannot thank Tom & Louise enough, and we hope to be able to make it back from Australia again one day.

Near Yosemite w/Spa & Lake View. Pet Friendly!

Definitely recommend booking with Wendy if your looking for a home on the lake. This is our second time staying in this rental and we will continue booking for our weekend getaways. The home is heated by a wood fire and warms up the house quickly. There's additional room heaters as well which was nice to have in the morning. The rental is clean, everything you need in the kitchen to prepare a meal, and plenty of firewood to keep the fire going. Jacuzzi was clean and was relaxing to look at the stars on a cold night. Thank you again Wendy for accommodating us in your home! Can't wait for our next trip.

Buckley Cabin W/ Boat Slip @ Bass Lake

AnthonyRating, 5 stars3 days ago
We celebrated an early birthday at this incredible Airbnb and truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The house is packed with so many thoughtful features — it would probably take a full weekend just to explore them all! The kitchen quickly became one of our favorite hangout spots, and the dining areas, both inside and outside, were perfect for gathering together with a beautiful view of the lake. We had an unforgettable Sunday brunch while watching the snowfall — absolutely magical. Although we couldn’t take full advantage of the boat dock due to some rain, it was still available and we captured stunning pictures with the gorgeous scenery. The property is stocked with everything you could possibly need: a fully equipped kitchen (cutting boards, glasses, coffee pot, etc.), thoughtful touches like ear swabs and toiletries, and everything was spotless. This place really is the epitome of a perfect lake trip — cozy, scenic, and well-equipped.

This cabin is BEAUTIFUL. Loved how everything was organized. The wooden furniture gives it a beautiful touch. Everything was great and we enjoyed our stay. The only issue was the wifi was not working because of some winds and there are barely any mobile connectivity there. But that actually added to the experience so no complains. The hosts were very responsive and sweet!

Your guide to Huntington Lake

All About Huntington Lake

Nestled high in California’s Sierra Nevada, Huntington Lake is an artificial reservoir that was constructed in 1912 as part of a big hydroelectric project. It didn’t take long before locals in the surrounding communities discovered its recreational potential: Huntington Lake soon garnered a reputation as the area's premier destination for sailing, fishing, and horseback riding. These days it’s also a jumping-off point to explore the Sierra National Forest and Kaiser Wilderness. Winter, too, has its draws: Several ski hills adjacent to the lake, such as Chinese Peak, are ripe for snowbound recreation. No towns or communities exist on the reservoir, but you can find private cabins around the entirety of Huntington Lake. The larger city of Fresno is within a two-hour drive of the lake, as is the famous Yosemite National Park.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Huntington Lake

During the summer, you will find warm temperatures and minimal rainfall, making it an excellent time to look for Huntington Lake rentals as the weather is conducive to water-based recreation. If you plan to take any day trips during your summer stay, consider checking out Fresno, a nearby agricultural city known for its surrounding Lodi Wine Country and bountiful grape, almond, and orange harvests. The winter in Huntington Lake sees temperatures that often fall to freezing levels, with accompanying moderate snowfall and more significant accumulation on the surrounding mountains and ski hills.

Top things to do in Huntington Lake

Sailing

Since its earliest days, Huntington Lake has been a sailing destination. The tradition continues today, with several marinas on the water offering ramps and mooring services for boaters. Steady winds during the summer provide prime conditions for the sport. If you don’t own your own sailboat but still want to navigate the lake, the marina offers canoe, paddle-boat, and kayak rentals.

Sierra National Forest

Huntington Lake sits amid the Sierra National Forest and its 1.3 million acres of wilderness available for public use and recreation. One of the most popular activities in the forest is hiking among the coniferous pine stands. Over a dozen trailheads are located within just a few minutes of the lake, like the four-mile Rancheria Falls Trail, with several more making themselves available as you drive further out.

Yosemite National Park

Around two hours away, Yosemite makes for an excellent day trip from Huntington Lake. Renowned for its famed waterfalls, ancient sequoia forests, and towering granite walls, the park dates back to 1890 and is America’s first national park. It contains hundreds of miles of hiking trails, educational centers, and an abundance of wildlife, including native species like Sierra Nevada yellow-legged frogs, Yosemite toads, and Mount Lyell Salamanders.
