A beautiful, cosy cottage, pristine with all the amenities you could ever need. Set in a gorgeous, rural location yet only a short drive to lots of quaint villages with numerous places to eat. Ffion really made us feel welcome, it really was such a pleasure to meet Spud the dog as well as Truffle the new puppy! Surrounded by fields with a horse and wildlife we simply cannot wait to return!

It’s an ideal place for those who want to explore the area while also enjoying a peaceful and relaxing stay. Despite being very close to the main road, it is wonderfully secluded from noise, surrounded by greenery. A special thanks to Gil for the warm welcome, helpfulness, and pleasant conversation.

We stayed at The Roost for two weeks, to escape London and study for GCSEs. It's a fabulous retreat - semi-rural farm setting in easy distance to the M4 and all the sights and towns in Wiltshire and Gloucestershire. Superbly and tastefully decorated with comfortable beds, plenty of towels and closet space. Roomy shower with great water pressure. Lovely private garden with all-day southern/western exposure and delightful chirping of little birds! The BP station nearby has a fully stocked Budgens - open 24 hours 7 days a week, and 5 electric vehicle charge points and a cafe. One can walk there from the cottage. There is also a large Waitrose a short drive toward Malmesbury. Mark the owner is amazingly helpful, knows everything about the area, and always on deck. What a fantastic stay we had - thank you so much Mark! Mrs H :-)
