Monthly Rentals in Howtown

This was our second visit to Julie’s place and so we already knew we were getting a great apartment in a wonderful part of the Lake District. There are stunning views of Ullswater, the place is very well-equipped, comfortable and the bedrooms (both en suite) are another touch of luxury! Julie is so helpful and answered all our queries promptly including giving us ideas for local places to go and being a friendly voice at the same time. Thank you Julie for another perfect stay.

My wife and I stayed 4 nights at Crook a Beck Barn. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this property. It is well equipped, with a great kitchen, plenty of wardrobe space and a large walk in shower alongside a large bath. It is in a peaceful setting with beautiful views and has all levels of walks available straight from the property. We enjoyed the extras especially the lemon drizzle cake made by Judith. We will definitely books this property again on our next visit to Patterdale.

We had an excellent stay here, comfortable and cosy. The home is beautifully decorated, the kitchen was well stocked of essentials, crockery and cooking equipment. The bedrooms were comfortable and bathrooms were clean and tidy - it was very useful having the 2.5 bathrooms for the 8 people. The location was great in terms of the views in the valley and near to the lake. Being close to Pooley bridge was also helpful, as well as being close to Penrith to get the food shop. The single lane road was a bit tricky to maneuver at times but nothing too ordinary for a quiet spot in the lake district. The service from Laik was great, very useful instructions and quick responses. Some proper outdoor seating would have been good to watch the lovely lambs from but apart from that, we would stay again.

Robbie is an excellent host, exceptionally communicative and helpful and Hallin Bank is a wonderful home to stay in. We had a great time there, enjoying walks from the door before relaxing in the cosy house on the evenings
