A striking fireplace is set within a brick wall, featuring an electric wood burner stove. Two armchairs, one upholstered in gray and the other in a Victorian style with floral accents, are arranged on a decorative rug, creating a cozy sitting area. Soft lighting enhances the warm ambiance.

17th Century Town Cottage in Wem

We had a wonderful stay at this charming cottage! From the moment we arrived, the host made us feel incredibly welcome — such a lovely person and so helpful throughout our visit. The cottage itself was amazing — beautifully kept, cozy, and fully equipped with everything we could possibly need. It truly felt like a home away from home. The setting was peaceful, and it was the perfect spot for a relaxing family getaway. We wouldn’t hesitate to come back again. Highly recommended!

A large church with intricate architectural details stands prominently across the street. Surrounding greenery and well-maintained gardens enhance the scene, while vehicles are parked nearby along the road. The sky is partly cloudy, adding depth to the view.

Hannah’s place is totally idyllic. Beautiful accommodation, stunning views and super peaceful. Had everything we could need and more. Hannah was a brilliant host, very communicative and came and showed us the ropes, very welcoming. Homemade chocolate cake was gifted to us and it was delicious - definitely keen to stay again!

Little Barn, all on one level and dog friendly.

LyndseyRating, 5 stars1 day ago
Ruth was very friendly, responded to messages promptly and gave great directions to help us find the accommodation. We were welcomed with dog treats, a homemade lemon cake, tea, coffee, milk, wine and lots of other great extras we made use of. The location is stunning and so peaceful. The barn was spotlessly clean and has temperature control in each room so I’m sure will be very warm and cosy in the winter months. The kitchen is very well equipped for home cooking with modern electrical oven, micro grill and hobs. We loved everything about it and will definitely be back again! Thanks Ruth 😎

Luxury Renovated Barn Conversion

MargaretRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Absolutely fabulous stay. The property is a stunning renovation, very comfortable with a lovely open kitchen to the courtyard where the dogs popped in and out. Lovely comfortable beds and linen and fully equipped kitchen. What's not to like? Peace and quiet, interesting dog walks over the fields and stiles and great location for outings to the Cheshire countryside and North Wales. We were well organised to cater "at home" which was great since the setting was lovely, but a lack of local shops may not for everyone. Would thoroughly recommend for anyone seeking a peaceful getaway. It ticked all the boxes. I would add Kate and Marc were very helpful responding to messages and queries.

Cosy old cottage conversion

KathrynRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Absolutely loved our stay at Derwen. It's a beautiful old building off a stunning cobbled courtyard behind the main house. Lovely outside seating for warmer weather. The cottage itself is cosy and welcoming and we really appreciated the breakfast hamper and treats for our dog. Jan and Roger are a lovely couple with lots of helpful hints for the local area. Bangor-on-Dee itself is a beautiful little village with two pubs and a village shop, all were used. The church and bridge are lovely and there are lots of good dog walks nearby. Would definitely stay again.

Stylish barn conversion with a/c and rural views

SharonRating, 5 stars5 days ago
Outstanding stay at Red Rose Barn, when we pulled into the gate and opened the barn it definitely had the WOW factor! Timely instructions from the hosts for a smooth, easy experience. The view from the patio is exemplary! We could seriously sit and look at that view 24/7! Even in the rain it's magical and such history over those hills.. Luxurious accommodation with beautiful matched furniture and items, Amazing rain showers, plenty of hot water, books, games and coffee maker including a choice of pods! Heating and air con which we didn't need, But everything there if you need it. Our hosts had thought of everything, you literally need to bring yourselves and that's it. A luxury home from home, Friendly welcome for our boys birthday celebrations to which was very kind and considerate. This is a peaceful, tranquil, private barn in the countryside with plenty of adventure on your doorstep. We hope to be back very soon , Thank you
