Great stay in a lovely area that was a good base for exploring surroundings. The house is very peaceful and we loved listening to the stream while having morning coffee. We hiked locally and took day trips to Hamburg and the Wadden Sea. Great base for all of these.

A coincidence that turned out to be absolute treasures. Wanted to go to the Baltic Sea at short notice during high season for a weekend. Decisive for us was the price. What we expected: a beautiful property, which is still located in the Sleeping Beauty sleep, but is already slowly waking up with a lot of love. If you are looking for peace, like extraordinary locations and love nature, this is the place to be. We felt very comfortable and recovered wonderfully. And if you are interested in the history of the house, you should take time for a chat with the very warm hosts. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will certainly be back again.

A magical place to stay. Typical North Frisian cottage with very tasteful furnishings and great amenities. We would love to come back again in the summer. However, our children have also enjoyed the garden despite the wind and cold. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

I stayed for a day with my baby on the way to Copenhagen. It was a really secluded, peaceful and pretty place. The baby was able to sleep comfortably by not only the baby bed and duvet, but also Schlafsack, and there were many birds and flowers in the garden, so I was able to show the baby the beautiful nature. ☺️ And the breakfast was the best! While looking at the beautiful garden, I was able to eat homemade Marmelade, bread, salad, yogurt, etc., and it was all really good. It was a pretty and cozy accommodation with a beautiful garden and lots of nice paintings in a unique traditional German house insulated with straw. Next time, I want to come to the destination and stay for a long time, not a stopover.

A very tastefully renovated apartment, furnished with a lot of love for detail and a nice seating area in front of the house. Barbara is a very friendly, always available and helpful hostess. A special highlight was the fantastic breakfast that we were able to book. Overall a lovely place with an extremely pleasant hostess.

The Sachsenhof is a dream of a house, angled, well-kept and lovingly furnished with antique furniture and decor, without appearing overloaded. I felt right at home. I had a nice chat with Silvia and learned the interesting history of the house. If you are looking for peace and quiet after the hustle and bustle of the sea, you are in the right place in the hilly forest and meadow landscape with a beautiful lake. Thank you for everything!

franziska offers exactly what is described. superhost right! i felt very comfortable, although it was very hot at the time.

Comfortable and friendly! We were allowed to spend three wonderful days in this little castle – and it was simply magical. We received a warm welcome upon arrival, and from the first moment we felt completely comfortable. The entire property exudes a special atmosphere – lovingly restored, with an eye for every little detail. The decor is tasteful, charming and chosen with so much love that you immediately feel at home. Our room was cozy, stylish and clean – a real retreat to relax in. The area is very green and also the small lake can be reached on foot superbly and quickly. 🤩 Everywhere you can feel how much passion has been put into it. It's the perfect place to unwind, get inspired and just unplug. We take many nice memories with us and will be happy to come back! Regards Martha

The three of us with our little one were guests in the Old Pastorate for one night. We had been looking forward to this overnight stay for weeks and yet our expectations were exceeded. A great room, super easy to reach from the train station, friendly communication, what more could you ask for? We will be happy to come back and are even considering making a detour to Barmstedt in the future especially for this place.

A perfect getaway in the middle of nothing and everything. Only 20-30 minutes from Flensburg, but located in a really nice and quiet town. 5 minutes walk to a great restaurant. And I haven't even mentioned the hosts yet; lovely, caring people, who are dedicated to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Dörte cooks a hearty breakfast - it kept us going through most of the day, without getting hungry 😊 And of course, there is Moritz The Guard Dog - he also adds to the coziness of the place. I could go on and on about the place, but to cut it short, it was one of the most relaxing places, I have stayed yet. 5/5 would try again.

We were very happy with the place. The rooms are very nice and clean. The environment is very quiet. We particularly liked the fact that there are many excursion destinations in the surrounding area, so we never got bored. Also, Stefanie was very nice and she was a great host. I'm sure we'll be back!

We are already looking forward to the next stay. We were received in a very friendly manner. Although we booked at very short notice, everything was prepared for us and the baby bed was already set up with its own huge towel for our 10-month-old daughter. Everything was very inviting, clean and thoughtful. The atmosphere in the entire house is just great. Absolutely recommended even with small children.

Elke is a kind-hearted woman and perfect hostess! She even picked me up from the train station – thanks again! The breakfast she makes for you every morning is prepared with a lot of love and is very plentiful. The accommodation is not suitable for a diet. 🙃 Rooms, bathroom and dining area are very clean and impeccable. Tall people should note that the bed is slightly shorter than normal.

We were allowed to spend 4 very nice days with Gesine and Cord and felt very at home. The breakfast was excellent and varied and formed a good basis for our day trips to Hamburg. Always happy to come back when we travel to the north 👍🏻
