Located in the middle of nature, it is still just 12 minutes by train to Münster or 40 minutes to Dortmund. Animals are welcome. Dogs should not sleep in bed or on the sofa. The city is the starting point of numerous hiking trails and cycling routes in the Sauerland-Rothaargebirge Nature Park.
