Monthly Rentals in Hingston Down

We (my wife and I plus the pooch) had a fantastic two night break at Duncan's place. The accommodation was spotless, exactly as described and in a beautiful location..We were privileged to have witnessed a gorgeous sunset from the fully enclosed garden (with impressive views) on the second night too! Duncan's communication was first rate and he was on standby at all times. Dog friendly in the truest sense of the phrase - perfect 👌

We had a wonderful stay at the old Sunday school house! It has been designed and decorated beautifully, the hosts have thought of everything! We arrived to a very generous welcome hamper which was really thoughtful. We brought our dogs and baby and all had the best time, we would highly recommend this place. Thank you!

This really is a delightful, cosy place to stay and the location is great for walks and visiting nearby towns of Tavistock and Launceston. Sarah-Louise is the perfect host - friendly, welcoming and very responsive to any queries. I enjoyed my brief stay very much and hope I'll be back again soon.

The Count House is lovely. The surroundings GORGEOUS. Easy to get to just take it easy on the track down to the farm as rough. Not for Ferraris people. My friend told me to download a bird app and it recorded over 20 different birds there. It is a beautiful, peaceful location and within easy reach of Tavistock and the Moor. We also went to the local Point to Point on the Sunday which was 10 mins from us. We had a fabulous day and the people were lovely. Food in the area is amazing and the local farm shop attached to the Copper Penny pub has everything and more that you need. Tavistock Pannier market is excellent and the butcher there is amazing as was Scotch Egg stall. Try the butcher's duck and plum pies-yum. It's easy to get to Plymouth and the Tamar Railway goes from Gunnislake (stunning). We visited Lost Gardens of Heligan too in Cornwall-Fabulous. We hope to be able to visit again. Thank you Claire.
