Monthly Rentals in Highleadon

It was a luxurious, comfortable, spacious apartment, the hosts were so generous leaving lots of goodies for us, including coffee beans for the brilliant coffee machine. They made us feel comfortable to explore the grounds which the kids loved. We really enjoyed the local area, the forest of dean and walks around the river wye, we could definitely spend more time here. We had a really lovely stay.

Such a peaceful little cottage in the country. 🥰 This is lovely location that is off the beaten path, yet close enough to drive to anything that you want to see. The cottage and grounds are simply immaculate. I throughly enjoyed to view from the balcony overlooking the green fields and flocks of sheep. It was the perfect sunset spot. The hosts (and the dog) were warm and friendly, and offered to help with anything that I needed. I will be saving this one as a favorite, and I hope to stay again while I’m in town.

Extremely pleased with our stay. It is a shepherd’s hut with all basic necessities, even came with a full shower. Gillie was very clear with all instructions before check-in to make sure we get there and get settled. We were also warmly welcomed by Rob who kindly assisted as with our bags. If you like old school living then this will please your adventurous self. My partner and I like the idea of camping but couldn’t without a proper toilet, so this hut was perfect. Behind the hut is a forest, and luckily just in time for bluebells! Staying in the hut made us feel like we own the whole estate with horses 🤣 that’s how quiet and private it was. Really helped with our mental health. We highly recommend the place and honestly already planning to come back. Thank you, Gillie! ❤️

I really don’t know where to begin, Rectory Cottage is truly delightful. It is your home from home, Kirsty has thought of every little detail, all your kitchen equipment, cleaning products, the list is endless. The location was perfect for a relaxing weekend break, walks for our puppy are on your doorstep and only a short drive to a local farm shop (Over farm) and beautiful pubs. Normally when we go away we eat out all the time but on this occasion we enjoyed our cottage and the garden for the weekend and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves 😊
