Castle vacation rentals in Highland Council

We had a fantastic stay at the castle. The property was easy to find and the area is beautiful and quiet with forest and fields all around, easy for walks. There is also lots to do in the area, we went clay pigeon shooting close by which was lots of fun. We stayed at the garden cottage which was cosy and had everything we need. The living room with portable dining table was a great use of space and good for family diner and board games. We would love to return and stay again. Thank you for hosting us!

This place is absolutely beautiful. The terrace is perfect when u love nature, sea, sheep and highland cattle. Lots of walk are possible from here. About the castle it’s really a stunning one. Services are at the best with all confort needed … it’s really a jewel and we hope come back here in the future.

Beautiful, comfortable room in a castle! Lovely luxurious break from camping. Staff were excellent and very friendly and helpful. Great for exploring Stornaway for a night. Wished we stayed longer!

Amazing! What a beautiful and unique place to stay - we loved our visit and hope to visit again one day. Everything was as expected and Mirian is a very friendly and helpful host.

Mansfield Castle is great, authentic and loved the history (and two redwood sequoia trees at the front!) Good chat with John, the owner in the bar. Great breakfast, cooked to order. Only negative was that the bed was a bit hard.

Absolutely amazing property. Out of our 10 day stay in various establishments in Scotland, this was hands down our favorite. Would definitely stay here again.

The Pavilion is a spacious apartment spread over three levels. Kitchen, dining and half bathroom on the first level. Up a few stairs to the sitting room with ample space and comfy lounge seating. Up a few more stairs to two bedrooms both with ensuite bathrooms. The kitchen is very well appointed allowing to eat in with supermarkets near by. There are also plenty of dining out options in the nearby towns of Dingwall and Evanton. The ensuite bathrooms both have fabulous showers with super water pressure. The Pavilion is perfect for 2 couples with plenty of space and privacy.

One of our favorite stays of all time! The abbey is beautiful and the apartment details preserved the building’s history while being very comfortable and modern. The space was perfect for us with our young son and the host was wonderfully accommodating of our needs, including setting up both a crib and high chair which made our stay that much easier. The attention to detail and thoughtfulness left a lasting impression!

We had an amazing experience at this place. We were a family of two adults and two teenagers visiting Scotland. We stayed at the Fort Augustus Abbey for 7 nights to explore the Highland, lakes and islands. The apartment was large and very comfortable, inside an old abbey and its huge park, facing a large green field. The location is truly exceptional, directly on the banks of the Loch Ness, close to all facilities. Most of the apartment looked very recently renovated. The furniture and beds were great. The kitchen table and the living area furniture were clearly used but not at all worn out. There were some stains on the carpet but nothing bothersome. The apartment was very comfortable with a huge dining table, lots of space, two full bathrooms, very comfortable kitchen area, etc. The abbey was great overall, a very nice park for walking or just sitting around, table tennis, open-air chess, swimming pool, etc. By far our best Airbnb experience. A bit pricey but absolutely worth it!

Wir haben uns direkt wohlgefühlt. Am Anfang war es etwas mulmig in einem Castle zu Wohnen Aber alles sehr schön.Sehr sauber und alles mit Liebe gemacht.Morgens wird man vom Hahn 🐓 geweckt 😉 Waren mit 7 Personen dort. Kein Telefon Empfang dafür aber WLAN zum Planen der Touren. Ein Ort mitten in der Natur sehr schön Ruhe Entspannung . Wir haben uns wohlgefühlt 😀

What a gem! We stayed off season and felt like we had the entire resort to ourselves. This is a high end rental and the care in its keeping shows. The kitchen was exceptionally well furnished -- well beyond any rental we've stayed in. The entire apartment was immaculate. The beds were comfortable. Our children really enjoyed the indoor pool. We can't wait to return in summer when we can take full advantage of everything the club has to offer. You will not regret booking this apartment.

We had a wonderful stay at the castle. It is a unique and interesting building. While there is still much work to be done, the spaces set to for guests are nicely restored and fun to stay in. David was very helpful with so the information that we needed. Ryan was onsite to prepare our meals and take care of anything what we wanted. The food was excellent, and we slept very well.
