The Briar Barn is on a gorgeous property and the hosts were very welcoming. It’s a great location to explore the highlands and Loch Ness and do a day trip to Isle of Skye. The accommodation was perfect for a family of 4 and would definitely return!

Dundavie Cottage, Aberfeldy, Scotland

Frances and Angus gave us a very warm welcome to their cosy, immaculate and well-equipped cottage. It is close to their home and alongside a bubbling stream, set in incredible gardens. We were recommended walks and given home grown produce. They made our stay in the Loch Tay area comfortable and relaxing. Thank you Frances and Angus!

Drumduan Mill

PeterRating, 5 stars36 months ago
we enjoyed the amount of space we had and thought that the house was good value for money. The house was unusual and aesthetically pleasing - this added to our enjoyment of the place. We appreciated that there was a good dishwasher and a wide range of plates and cups. It was good that we had so many books on the bookshelves. We both really enjoyed the deep bath. We were pleased that there was an enclosed area outside where we could play with our dog. We had very tasty fish and chips one night from the shop in Nairn High street which is next to a Chinese take away. Nairn beach was lovely and spacious.

Cosy stone barn in country setting

FrederickRating, 5 stars1 week ago
A great spot in a pastoral setting with good value for the money. The only thing I wish they had was WiFi but they were upfront that there wasn’t any before we booked. We had a couple of needs and they went above and beyond to get what we needed. Great communication. Will come back.

Tigh Dubh

IvanRating, 5 stars3 days ago
Alastair and Helen provided a 5 star experience for a countryside experience. The cottage was exactly as described. Cozy and comfortable, providing all the amenities required for a relaxing time away. Every attention to detail was made from cozy blankets to local tableware pottery. There was ample space for my dog to wander about and a lovely peaceful walk up through the croft. Tigh Dubh is sincerely a must stay and its accessibility to attractions is excellent. I would certainly rate this cottage as one of my favourite places

Fyrish View - Luxury Studio with Private Patio

KaraRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Nice and peaceful. A car is required to get around the area. Juliet was kind and communicative. We loved our time in the Highlands and in Fyrish View. Plenty to do in the area - Cromarty was a lovely little seaside town and Dingwall was easy to get to for shopping and railway links. We would stay again.

Beautiful 4 bedroom Barn Conversion, lovely views

MichaelRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We really enjoyed our stay at this property. The cottage itself was perfect. An upside house which was even better than the photos suggested. It was comfortable and well kitted out. The kitchen and lounge set up was excellent. The bedrooms and bathrooms were ideal for our party. The farm was an amazing place - peacocks, geese, ducks and hens wandering around the pond and grounds. We loved the bistro and shop. They added an extra and welcome dimension to our stay. The whole experience could not be faulted.

Cozy cottage on berry farm with private beach

BronwynRating, 5 stars5 months ago
We are a family of four with two young girls and felt right at home from the moment we walked in. A very lovely and comfortable cottage, well equipped and Maddie kindly left us milk in the fridge and delicious biscuits on arrival. It's a quick 40 mins to glenshee ski centre and we were lucky enough to have snow. The kids loved sledding and having a winter hike. The cottage is set in a lovely peaceful area near the river amongst blueberry and cherries trees, sadly as we came in winter they were not in bloom but you can tell how magnificent it would have been. Would recommend!

The Hayloft - near Aviemore

HollyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
I cannot praise the Hayloft highly enough! My husband and I stayed for 4 nights with our dog as our last trip to relax before we become parents in a few weeks time and couldn’t have picked a better place for our break. The Hayloft itself is absolutely beautiful, gorgeous furnishings, well equipped with everything we could possibly need (including a very generous welcome basket of goodies which we were so grateful for!) and super doggy friendly. As for the surroundings they are breathtaking, I already miss sitting out on the terrace listening to the stream and overlooking the beautiful garden - photos don’t even do it justice! Kim was super responsive and friendly ahead of our stay and owners Lynne and Paul were such kind, gracious hosts, we received a warm welcome and some great local recommendations. Overall our favourite Scottish staycation to date and cannot wait to return!

Essich Park - 1BR - Hot Tub - Wood Burning Stove

AbbyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We loved our stay so much I asked George when we could move in! This unit is immaculate and gorgeous - one of the best shower's I've ever used and the bed makes you want to stay in it all day. George has thought of everything and provided us with a wonderful experience. Imagine coming back after a day out exploring the countryside to soak in a steaming hot jacuzzi, heat up dinner in an entertainer's kitchen and crash on a cozy couch with your Netflix account - then wake up and say hello to the resident alpacas! 10 minutes to downtown Inverness and easy access to the highways in all directions. Tucked away on a hillside with perfect wifi & reception. I have no criticisms - 10/10 one of the best Air BnB experiences ever. We had a whirlwind trip through Scotland and I so appreciated George's space where we could just relax for a bit - the views are stunning, George and his partner are lovely, and we can't wait to return.
A bright living space features large, angled windows allowing natural light to fill the area. A modern dining table with wooden legs sits beside a cozy seating arrangement, which includes a dark sofa and a chair. A black wood stove stands near the window, contributing to the property’s warmth.

The Shepherds Bothy

EstherRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Absolutely stunning! It's the kind of place at which you wish for a rainy day just so you have the excuse you need not to explore the amazing surroundings, but to stay in and cozy up on the super comfy couch. The bed is the most comfortable we ever slept in in an Airbnb, the kitchen well equipped, and even though you are super secluded the Cafe of the castle is just around the corner. We would love to come back anytime.

The Maltings

MoiraRating, 5 stars3 days ago
Simpathetically converted malt house in a peaceful setting. Good sized house with absolutely brilliant garden that had plenty space for the dogs to run around. Comfy beds with fresh linen, towels, robes and slippers. Well stocked kitchen with thoughtful welcome gift. Cozy lounge with plenty logs for the burner. Great little study space for those that still have to do a bit of work. Hot tub clean with non-slip rubber mats around it. Unfortunately, more careful attention needed from cleaning team in places, which was disappointing - for the money, perfection expected. Warning for fellow townies - go less than walking pace along the track to prevent the underside of your car getting scraped, unless you drive a land rover. Also, the bins are located at the end of the road, so stinky rubbish needs to go in the car - too far to carry it. We're not precious about our car but our son flatly refused to take it in his new car!

A really great space to relax in with everything we needed. Aileen was lovely and made us feel so welcome. Not far from Skye and so many beautiful places to drive or walk to. My one tip, if you decide to drive over the Applecross pass take care as it’s a white knuckle drive!!!

This was our second trip to The Barn on Skye. We dreamt about coming back as soon as we left last year. We actually planned our entire stay around the cottage availability. The views and location are spectacular- out of a dream. And you’re located right along Brothers Point trail so it’s amazingly convenient. The cottage is well equipped and very comfortable. We stayed with our two children ages 2 and 8 and they loved it as well. We look forward to hopefully staying again next year and making it a tradition for our annual trips to Scotland!! Thank you again for a spectacular stay and memories!!
