If you’re looking for a peaceful and relaxing getaway this is it! The cabin is very cozy in the middle of the forest. The bed is very comfortable, comfy recliners, and full kitchen. Some things to keep in mind; the parking situation is fairly tricky and a steep walk but you get used to it after a while. The stair case inside is a little scary at first but then you get used to it. We did lose water on our last day but Matt was very helpful and responsive. Matt was great at communicating with us.

We really enjoyed our stay - we weren’t expecting the little extras including a fully stocked kitchen with spices and even tennis rackets for the nearby courts! We also greatly enjoyed the sleds at the dunes. Plenty of room for our family of four and doggy friend.

The covered wagon was thoughtfully designed, offering a cozy retreat after a day of exploration. We spent our mornings sipping coffee on the porch, watching the sun rise over the fields, and our evenings gathered around the fire pit, sharing stories and enjoying the quiet of the countryside. Check-in and check-out were seamless, thanks to the clear instructions provided. Communication with the host was prompt and helpful, ensuring we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Conveniently located near the mesmerizing White Sands National Park, we were able to easily explore the world’s largest gypsum dune and retreat back to our little paradise!

From the moment I arrived, the cabin felt like a tranquil retreat. A soothing scent greeted me, and the thoughtful arrangement of every detail created a truly peaceful sanctuary. It’s the kind of place where you just exhale. Anna was exceptional. Despite my spontaneous booking, she made everything seamless and welcoming. The selection of tea, coffee, and delightful Japanese treats was a lovely touch. She even took the time to recommend local hiking and dining spots, and snapped photos of the view of the sky in advance when considering bringing my telescope. The patio provided a fantastic vantage point for watching birds and wildlife. Each morning, I’d sit outside with my coffee and simply breathe in the calm. Nestled among beautiful trees and roaming elk & horses, the location offers a serene escape without feeling remote. It’s the perfect reminder that a peaceful getaway can be simple and rejuvenating.
