Mairéad's place is a fantastic, pet friendly, base for exploring the beautiful Beara Peninsula. We were lucky enough to have glorious weather for our stay so we enjoyed lots of coastal walks at the nearby Dunboy Castle, took the cable car to Dursey Island & a leisurely drive along the Ring of Beara. Mairéad has thought of everything to make your stay perfect, from farm fresh eggs, homemade treats to doggie poop bags! She was also very kind & understanding when we had to reschedule our original planned stay due to an unexpected family illness. Thanks so much for a great stay Mairéad, oh & our doggo loved the donkeys too!

We had the most wonderful few days in Ailish’s cottage. The drive from Kate Kearneys cottage through The black Valley was breathtaking & we stopped so many times along the way to gaze in awe at the spectacular scenery. When we reached The sheep farm and saw the cottage we were lost for words. The cottage is just perfect in every way & Ailish has thought of everything one might need. It’s also spotless, so cozy and homely. The welcome loaf of home Made soda bread, butter, jam etc was delicious & every tiny detail made this stay just perfect. The peace, quiet, stillness and total immersion in nature is something we’ll never forget. Ailish’s welcome is so genuine and she has created a little piece of heaven here. Ailish, thank you so Much. We enjoyed our stay and firstly have to say the photos do not give enough credit to this clean and well curated cottage. From the books on the shelves to the maps on the walls with statues inside we felt right at home. The stove an added feature for us was manageable and kept the building toasty, especially upstairs. We felt right at home and were welcomed by Kevin who checked in daily. Conversations were friendly and a lot of knowledge about the local area. Outside was space with parking for our car. There’s a view of the sea and Inch beach, Dingle Peninsula, and Macgillycuddy’s. A lot of care was taken into consideration of this cottage and you can see how often it is maintained. There is no tv and who would want it with the amount of books here and scenery abounding the cottage. We found ourselves on many walks and it’s so close to Killorglin as well with easy access. We will come back again especially for more chats with Kevin. Superhost experience.

Many thanks to Mary Mary! We had a wonderful week here in April. There were six of us and we had enough space. The grandparents even had an extra bathroom with shower right in the bedroom. There are also two separate lounges, so part of the family could watch a movie in the living room in the evening, while the rest in the reading corner could enjoy the great view of the lake. Overall one of the best places we've had on our trips so far. We can therefore recommend Mary's cottage to anyone who wants to vacation in this area.

Paul and Katrin were the most lovely hosts. We had stayed here before and the second time - like the first time - fell nothing short of what you could hope for in any Airbnb. The cottage was extremely clean and felt like home right away. We used the Kayaks on the lake during sunset and opted for the sauna on a rainy evening. From Lakefield, all of Kerry was within driveable distance so we could really make the most of our stay. We can’t stress enough how comfortable and welcome Paul and Katrin made us feel during the entire stay and we can’t wait to be back another time.

We stayed here for 3 nights. What a beautiful little cottage. The photos do not do this place justice. The cottage was immaculate with everything you need to cook & relax. We loved the stove and bed was comfy. Baltimore itself is a stunning little village with plenty restaurants/ pubs to choose from.

We had a great time at Dominic's place. We chose this lodge because of its geographical location and it was perfect for traveling around. Our arrival went very well, the directions were very clear and on our arrival Dominic had even lit a fire for us. He had kindly left us things to eat (cereals, milk, butter, bread etc.). The interior of the lodge is even better than in the photos, the two bathrooms are very practical and the bedrooms nicely redecorated. The bedding is excellent and we were able to rest well. The lodge is peaceful and located near a local pub that also serves as a restaurant. We were able to go there for dinner or listen to Irish music. Dominic gave us some great tips for sightseeing, was full of thoughtful touches and made sure we had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. I recommend going without hesitation.

Above all we loved the spot with some beautiful walks, beaches and views. Also had a lovely meal at the Monks Lane pub, and great coffee and cake at Rebecca’s Cafe and a farm shop. Would love to stay again.

We had an amazing few days at Evie's place, our 3 children were over the moon to be living on a farm with such amazing views (and a cat to pet 24/7) and such a cozy place. The house is very well equiped and has a great feel to it, wonderfully decorated with really amazing views. We used it as a base to explore the region which is just magical. Highly recommend for everyone to visit, and we hope to return soon!

I stayed here with my 11year old daughter for 3 nights. The apartment was amazing and had everything we needed. I was working from my laptop and the wifi was perfect and met all our needs. The location was outstanding with lots of recommendations of activities and eateries. Amazing food at the BarleyCove Beach Hotel. Make sure to get food prior to arrival as whilst the local stores have some food, it is limited. Overall our stay was amazing, Joanne and family were so accommodating and my daughter was delighted to be invited to play with their children and cousins for hours in their garden.

The cottage was absolutely spectacular, and exactly as described - located just inside Killarney National Park, the grounds are beautiful and it's an easy walk (or short drive) to local restaurants, shops, the INEC, and Killarney town center. The cottage itself was gorgeous and very well appointed, and we very much appreciated the small touches - some coffee, tea, and biscuits for us to enjoy! We met Eileen just after check-in, where she gave us a quick but thorough tour of the cottage and shared some great conversation about the area and the event we were in town for. Thank you so much, Eileen & John, for an excellent week and we'd love to be back!

Lounging on the couch in front of the stove with a DVD playing was just amazing. The house itself was spotless—neat, tidy, and very well-maintained. We had a wonderful stay at the Beach House! Location, location, location is what it was all about, just stunning! Great outdoor and indoor space for all of the family. We all enjoyed the sauna and it was just a pity that the hot tub was not in use, but it did not spoil anything. The only thing to be mindful of is the shortage of hot water when taking a shower, which i think has been mentioned in previous reviews. However, overall it's the most amazing location and house for a break in West Cork and we really hope we will be back one summer in the future!

Gerard and Ann were amazing hosts. The cottage was so clean, comfortable, and tastefully decorated. My husband and I enjoyed the hot tub and sauna so much. It was a really great way to end both days of our stay. It was a great location, as it is just a few minutes outside the town and very peaceful. If we are ever back in the area we would definitely like to stay here again. If really can’t say enough good things about this place. Highly recommended!

From the very beginning Tom was very helpful and always responsive. When we had problems he was quick to respond and help us in whatever we needed. He and his wife were very friendly and l loved talking to them. I highly recommend this place. Obviously you need a car to get around. Thanks for making us feel at home.

Lovely accommodation in beautiful West Cork. really good restoration and conversion of two old dwellings. Kevin was easy to communicate with, providing prompt informative responses. We stayed in March when few places were open. Sugarloaf cafe worth a visit. And Garnish is a good day out. Had lovely weather, so enjoyed walking in the area around the cottage. Happy to recommend.

We had a wonderful time staying at Des‘ cottage. If you are looking for a modern take on the traditional Irish Cottage - this is the place for you! Super cozy, has everything you need and more. Des provided everything for a delicious breakfast and was extremely helpful along the way. Also the place has everything if you are traveling with a small child as we were. 5 Star rating is more than deserved! We hope to be back :-)

We really enjoyed our month-long stay at Jerry's place. The kitchen is well equipped and Jerry and his wife were always helpful, friendly, and quick to respond. The host provided enough dish soap, laundry detergent, toilet paper and even firewood to last our entire stay. The house is in a very quiet and peaceful location in the countryside but still central for exploring both Kerry and Cork counties (having a car is a must).
