Contemporary Cottage in the Wicklow Mountains

LyaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
My favourite place on Earth 😊 While it’s close enough to Dublin, it’s so private and peaceful it feels like you are completely away from civilisation in the most positive way. The surrounding are absolutely stunning, and there is a lot of sightseeing nearby. This place is just perfect for disconnecting from the busy city life. And lastly, Richard and Ben are fantastic hosts, very friendly, responsive and helpful. I would highly recommend this place and will definitely be coming back here myself 💚

Owenie's Cottage - Enjoy Our Private Hot Tub

PaulRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This was a great property. Every little thing had been thought of from toiletries to bathrobes and flip flops for the hot tub. There was a fridge full of food and a table of treats to help us celebrate our birthdays. The location was great with a shop, take away and two pubs all within walking distance. There was also a ruined castle, interesting bridge and old abbey within walking distance so there was enough to do for our short stay without having to drive anywhere. Our host was great even allowing a late check out so we were able to enjoy one last dip in the hot tub. We’d highly recommend this property and are already planning a return trip.

The Red Bridge Cottage

We had a truly wonderful stay at this charming cottage. The location is absolutely perfect—peaceful, quiet, and surrounded by beautiful countryside. It was the ideal spot to relax and unwind, with nature right at our doorstep. The cottage itself was cozy, clean, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed. It felt like a real home away from home. Our host Mairead was fantastic— She made sure we had everything we needed and had the turf fire lit on our arrival. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. Highly recommended for anyone looking to experience the beauty and tranquility of Donegal!

Great stay at Ocean View, what a stunning landscape and beach a short walk away. One of the best parts for us was having a secure enclosed garden for our dog to run around, she had a great time. Freeda left a folder with clear instructions on available appliances, heating, etc. Thanks Freeda!

A heartfelt thank you to Yvonne and Brian for such a wonderful stay in their beautiful home. My friends and I spent two nights at Cassie’s Cottage, using it as a perfect base to explore the stunning surroundings—including Malin Head and Glenveagh National Park. After our adventures, we returned each evening to the comfort of the cottage, where the peaceful atmosphere and the gentle sound of nearby sheep made for the cosiest night’s sleep. As we were checking out, we had a lovely conversation with Yvonne and Brian. Brian shared memories of growing up in his mother’s cottage, adding a personal and touching layer to the experience. The entire stay was truly memorable and made it so easy to fall in love with Donegal. Highly recommend!

My husband and I took our 3 children with us to site see all over Ireland and this cottage was absolutely wonderful. We needed something that could help accommodate our youngest at 2 years old, and our oldest at 12 years old. Not only was the cottage beautiful, but it was well equipped with toys, books, movies, pack n play, high chair, toddler plates, and a trampoline for the older kids. Fiona and her family were very kind and respectful to our privacy while still providing social interaction when we saw each other. Fiona provided great recommendations for bars, activities, etc. It was a great location to enjoy the peace and quiet, while still be close great sights and shopping, i.e. Galway, Aillweee Caves, and Cliffs of Moher.

The Coach House

CarolineRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a wonderful stay at the coach house in Valleymount. The house itself was spotless and very comfortable with everything you need. There is thought put into this house as an airbnb. The beautiful garden backs onto Blessington Lake, where we enjoyed a peaceful walk along the water’s edge, such a scenic and relaxing spot. The coach house is next to the main house but you feel like you are in a private space, sitting outside at the benches with a cup of tea relaxing after a day of touring was ideal. The location was ideal for exploring Wicklow. Highlights for us were Mount Usher Gardens, the Ballinastoe Boardwalk through the woods, and the incredible Avondale Beyond the Trees. We also took a trip into Dublin for some shopping. There were plenty of lovely places to eat nearby, especially in Hollywood and Blessington. A perfect base for both relaxing and exploring highly recommended. The host is friendly and welcoming.
