I had a fantastic stay at Dan’s place! Everything was just as described—clean, comfortable, and welcoming. Dan was an exceptional host: super helpful and responsive. You can tell he genuinely cares about his guests having a great experience. I’d absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a smooth and enjoyable stay!

Quaakie took a stone barn built in 1650 and remodeled it into an elegant and comfortable house. Everything in it is well thought out and beautiful, and it is very homey. The view of the water from the driveway and the land the owner's have across the road is incredible. All of this would be more than enough, but then there's Quaakie's superb hospitality. Fresh flowers all over the house; a fridge (and counter) full of useful food and treats, plus all of the cookware, oils and spices you would need to cook. Quake is charming and helpful - full of good advice and fun to chat with. We only had one problem with her place - we didn't want to leave.

This place was amazing! We went out of our route a little bit to stay here at the Hobbit House & I am glad that we did! Jesse was a phenomenal hostess. We enjoyed the conversation & the amazing apple juice. The bed was super comfy. We loved the apple orchard & peaceful surroundings. Highly recommend! Would definitely visit here again if ever back in Ireland!

The Old Wash house is a quaint little place, ideal for a couple and dog to stay right in the centre of Ambleside. Parking is minimal in the area but was never a problem for us. We could explore the whole town on foot and the local bus links are fantastic. Lots of good pubs, restaurants and shops are in the vicinity. The property itself was beautifully presented and very cosy. The kitchen was adequate to cook a simple evening meal or breakfasts and the bathroom was nicely configured. The bed and furnishings were comfy, the central heating was very effective and the WiFi/smart TV useful for an evening in. The garden is small but well presented, giving space for our little dog to explore and do his business. Joanna was a great host and sent comprehensive instructions on how to reach the property and where to park, which was well-heeded advice!

Very sad that we only had one night here, the accommodation and grounds were lovely & exactly as described. Very accommodating hosts and allowed early check in as flights/ferries arrived early morning. We will definitely be returning and recommending to friends/family! :)

We had an amazing stay! Gorgeous cabin and Stephen couldn't have been friendlier! Had a lovely evening cooking pizza, relaxing in the hot tub and toasting marshmallows by the campfire!

This is a really lovely, cosy traditional cottage with comfy beds etc but a properly traditional feel. Gerard greeted us with homemade scones and a lit fire (everyday!) and was more than happy to share tales and recommendations for the area. Grab a good book, your old walking boots and snuggle up for a lovely Donegal stay!

Stayed in one of the hobit huts and it was brilliant. The experience was not what I expected, from sitting in the hot tub, to going back to your hut to sit by the fire. Was so peaceful and relaxing. Will definitely be back!

We stayed here for six nights and had an absolutely wonderful time. The location is simply stunning – right by the sea with immediate access for launching our sea-kayaks. The surrounding islands were a delight to explore by water, offering scenic paddling and a real sense of adventure. The accommodation itself was perfect for the two of us. It’s thoughtfully laid out, clean, and well-equipped. While it does sleep up to four (with a double bed and two bunks), it might feel a little tight for four adults over a longer stay. The beds are on the firmer side, so if you prefer a softer mattress, bringing a topper could be a good idea. All in all, this is an incredible base for anyone looking to paddle in this beautiful part of Scotland. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are already looking forward to coming back.

What a quirky and amazing place to spend a few days in. We felt we had stepped back in time in terms of the peace , tranquility, abundance of wildlife (mainly birds) surrounding us. Yet had all modern conveniences to hand in the wine cellar. Somewhere I would consider sraying again.

I spend two nights at the Fairytale Cottage. The landscapes around were beautiful, and Steve was very welcoming. The cottage was really charming, you enter in a real traditional cottage that may exist since centuries, it's a very special place. I had a wonderful time visiting Connemarra and had great conversations with Steve. Hope to come again someday, it was really worth it !
