Cottage vacation rentals in Heacham

Lovely little cottage in a lovely area of the country. We were down to visit a friend and watch a local theatrical production but we also managed to do some walking in beautiful woodlands that were just a few minutes drive away. East Harling is a very pleasant walk away - but probably not at night - as part of the walk is on unlit roads with no pavements. Possibly a little unfairly, the location review was dropped a star for this. Mary was very friendly, responsive and provided comprehensive and accurate information. All-in-all it’s a lovely bright little cottage in a lovely tranquil location ….. I nearly forgot the hot tub - lovely touch - clean and a very welcome mode of relaxation.

We had a really lovely break as a family of 2 adults and our 4 (tween/teenage) kids and dog at Hope cottage. The house was lovely & clean and had everything we needed, with enough space for everyone to relax. The area is beautiful, with plenty of lovely beaches, walks, little towns/villages to explore, pubs & restaurants within easy reach. The park in the village was also a big hit with our kids! The house was private, and not overlooked. Unfortunately, we had a few little things go wrong during our stay, but Amelia was great in communicating with us throughout and sorted everything as quickly as possible. It didn’t spoil our time away at all and we would thoroughly recommend this place to anyone. The hot tub was an extra treat after being out in the afternoon. Thanks very much Amelia 😊

We stayed at forestry cottage for the weekend for my mums 70th birthday. The cottage was so homely and comfortable and a really good size for 7 people. Hosts were very accommodating and responsive, little touches like doggy treats and supplies (we bought our family dog) and balloons, party poppers and a happy birthday banner was left for my mum which was a really nice touch! The cottage is set in the most beautiful/peaceful place with decent walks around the lake. All in all we had a very lovely stay, would 100% recommend.

Great stay! The cottage was well equipped and very clean

We spent a lovely extended weekend at the barn visiting our family in Norfolk. The barn was clean, warm and comfortable and had everything that we needed. Jill and Phil were friendly and welcoming and check-in and check-out were easy. The super-king sized bed was comfy and the hot tub was an added bonus after a busy couple of days with the grandchildren.

Lovely cosy cottage located close to all the shops and restaurants in Holt. Cosy beds and sofa. Great to have a drive to park the car, and easy to get to lots of great locations for walking and the beach. We didn’t use the hot tub as it didn’t feel like it was in a private enough spot, but this is just personal preference. Great hosts, thank you so much.

Back from a long weekend here, set in a beautiful village with a local pub which was great for food and drinks and a nice outdoor seating area. The garden was great and had the sun all day and evening so perfect for sitting outdoors while relaxing in the sun and was very secure for the dogs and lovely hot tub to relax in Great location for getting to Wells next to the sea and other surrounding areas Would highly recommend staying here Hosts were brilliant and super responsive and nice bottle of wine and treats to enjoy on our 1st day of holiday.

We had the most wonderful time! The property is absolutely gorgeous to roam around and the house is really comfortable, well equipped and beautiful to stay in. Highly recommend!

A beautiful cottage in the perfect location. 20-30 mins from every major place you could want to go. Cosy and homely with a lovely sunny garden. Private and secure, a real Norfolk countryside stay! We loved our stay, everything we needed was provided and Scott gave us all the information we needed to allow easy check in. We can’t wait to come back again, hopefully for longer next time. We had a lovely time at Nick and Liz’s cottage with our kids. It was a great base to explore around Norfolk. The view across the fields was really peaceful. Liz was really helpful with local recommendations for pubs and places to explore.

Litcham is such a beautiful village with all the amenities needed along with a very nice fish & chip shop. Rebecca’s house was lovely. Parking to the rear of the property was very easy. We liked the open plan feel to the downstairs. If there was one thing that Rebecca could do, it would be to change the kitchen floor step, as although clear signs are out ‘mind your step’ it was very easy to forget and on a number of occasions found ourselves tripping down the step. We would highly recommend and will definitely be booking again.

We stayed at Bluebell Cottage for 5 days to celebrate my birthday and loved it. We had such a great time and were so comfortable in the cottage. From the minute we walked in, it felt like home. We went out every day exploring the area and coming back to the cottage after a long day felt wonderfully relaxing. I love North Norfolk so much, from the beautiful natural beaches to the characterful small towns and villages. We are definitely returning and will book the cottage again for sure. My husband and I stayed for 5 nights and it was perfect. 3 pubs and a grocery shop just around the corner. Walking distance to a beautiful sandy beach. Cromer was a brisk 30 minute walk away. We cooked in the cottage every night and there was everything we needed. Beautiful touches upon arrival which included a pack of hot cross buns and a vase of fresh daffodils. Accommodation manual was comprehensive and included numerous local recommendations. Beds were super comfy and I had 5 nights of perfect sleep. I was worried about parking but we always found a space directly outside the cottage. I would 100% recommend The Old Smoke House and will 100% stay again.

We had such a wonderful stay at Albert’s Cottage. It’s in a perfect place to visit places easily and is easy to get to and park up. Imogen was helpful and recommended some great places to visit. The cottage was equipped with everything you need for a great break. Would love to come back sometime soon.

Great cozy, quirky little cottage. Dog was catered for where ever we went and was very happy. Lovely shower and bathroom was immaculate. We did a lot of driving but everything was within the hour and a great private cosy little space to return to after a lot of walking. Sue was fantastic and responsive from the start, so much so, we’d already planned what we were going to do and never needed to bother her whilst there. The house and the surroundings were unreal too. The private little garden is an amazing little touch also and was handy to be able to let the dog out without always having to put him on a lead and walk him around. Beautiful little find and will recommend.

A beautiful bolt-hole away from everything including the internet with stunning marsh views and dark skies. To see Marsh Harriers was wonderful. Wood burner kept us cosy and the enclosed garden was heaven for our dog. Walks to the two pubs in Surlingham (one at Coldham Hall closed during the week off season) and easy drives into Norwich and surroundings. An outdoor shooting club right next door operates on Thursday am and Sunday mid-morning so you may want to plan to be out then - large red flags show when it is happening. At other times it is SO peaceful. We stayed for 10 days and began to miss a bath and washing machine, but not a problem for shorter stays. Old Hall Farm Shop at Woodton, the Wildebeest at Stoke Holy Cross and the new Michelin star at Caistor Hall as well as foodie Norwich mean eating out possibilities are endless. Pip left delicious eggs from her own hens.

We had a lovely stay at this cosy cottage in a beautiful location. The village is charming and peaceful, and it made a great base for us to explore the nearby beaches in Wells with our toddler. The cottage had the essentials we needed and was comfortable and welcoming. It was perfect for a relaxing break.

Beautiful surroundings, loved being around all the nature, felt very private and tranquil. Would definitely recommend it to friends in the future and would stay here again when visiting Norwich

Beautiful cottage in a perfect location: opposite the pub and just down from the community run village shop. The cottage was beautifully clean and had everything we needed, and more! As mentioned in other reviews, a couple of the doorways are quite low and I bumped my head a few times - I'm 5' 10". If you're of a certain age and need to visit the bathroom during the night, you may like to know that it's downstairs! It was my wife's first visit to the Broads and we'll definitely be coming back soon!

We had a lovely stay at Gemma’s cottage. Comfortable sofas and beds and an electric fire to take the chill off in the evening, well placed to visit the coast, Sandringham and Hollham Hall.

We had such a lovely stay in the cottage! It’s a beautiful and peaceful spot. The children loved playing in the garden and there were lots of little outside spots to sit and enjoy a little sun. Conveniently close to Cromer and lots of other nearby beaches. We had lots to keep us busy. The cottage was comfortable, well equipped and the perfect place to relax and unwind.

Lovely stay here, clear instructions where to park and how to get in. Cottage was lovely and clean! Lucy was also very accommodating with an earlier check in and was able to help out setting up travel cot for arrival! Thank you so much and we will definitely be back :)

Keepers Cottage was very cosy with lots of space surrounding and great for kids to explore. It was well located both to access the city and surrounding Norfolk attractions. We had a lovely stay!
