Beautiful location. Private, peaceful and secluded. Excellently equipped kitchen. Felt at home and slept well. Morvan is a great place to visit, rural and peaceful. Great for road biking and lake swimming.

Liernais is a tiny hamlet ten minutes drive from Saulieu, which is itself fairly small but charming and welcoming for the visitor. Benedicte was a wonderful host: always available to help, whether by fixing the inevitable broken widget, directing one to a local masseuse, or, in my case, installing an outdoor plug to charge my electric car overnight. I stayed a month at her house, and I could not have asked for a better, more suitable accommodation. I was writing a book, and Benedicte's house offered serenity, silence and easy comforts that fit all my needs. The house is spacious, though with just one bedroom it can really only support a single person or a couple. Benedicte was, however, open to allowing a buddy of mine, who drove down to spend the weekend, to stay on his air mattress. She was so sweet to my other pal, my dog who stayed with me, that he went to say good morning to her each day. I feel very fortunate to have found this place to work. Merci mille fois, Benedicte!
