Lake house vacation rentals in Hamlin Lake

This is a wonderful place for two families to stay in adjacent spaces and enjoy both Hamlin Lake and Lake Michigan. Wonderfully set up for young families (with playground equipment in the lane) and excellent water access. This was our second year and we plan to continue the tradition next year!

We stayed 2 nights and couldn't imagine more beautiful views. The cottage is perfectly decorated and has all the amenities you could hope for. We will be back!

If you’re looking to get away from it all, this is the perfect opportunity. This cottage will allow you to enjoy a no stress vacation. We had 7 over 60 women in in our group. It is a large place with tons of beds. All stairs had railings on them. Bathrooms did not have railings which made it difficult for some of us. Also there was no outside lighting which made it difficult for some of us. The lake was nice to swim in and the large umbrella near the beach was very nice to have. We enjoyed a beautiful campfire. Al in all it’s a perfect place for a vacation but might need a few tweaks for seniors 😀

Writing this review, with considerable jet lag, I can say the only feedback prompt I paused on was "value." This wasn't a cheap week. But seriously, it shouldn't have be. This is a large, well appointed property in a seriously beautiful lake country setting. Moreover, it's a real house for real people, not a beige/grey generic airbnb-fab unit created for the purpose of a revenue stream. Also- If you are a client with a boat/boat aspirations, don't think twice. This place is awesome.

Had a girls weekend here; we enjoyed our stay fully! Excellent communication, easy to find. Master bedroom is big and has beautiful views. Beds are comfy- extra blankets which was great. Loved the roomy fridge. The porch overlooks the water and is nice. Close to beautiful trails in Arcadia for hiking and not far from Manistee. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Becca was proactive prior to the trip to make sure we had everything that we needed and to ensure we had all of the information we needed for a smooth check in and stay. the house was beautiful, just like the photos. The outdoor space was perfect for entertaining. Beautiful back porch and lawn and the location was perfect. The house was pristine as far as cleanliness and check out was very easy. I would recommend this property with a 5 star rating to anyone.

Worth every penny. The perfect spot to getaway where you still are alone in nature! Even though you won’t have cell service, the cabin is equipped with Wi-Fi! Works wonderful. When we first got the booking, Sarah messaged asking what brought us there and left us the cutest anniversary gift when we walked in on the table. Loved that there wasn’t a laundry list of tasks to do when checking out which made it really worth the trip too!! My dog LOVED their hill, and running up and down catching his ball and smelling all the different scents. Still within a hour drive to visit the dunes and National forest. We stayed for an extended weekend and it was perfect! Highly recommend

This was the perfect place for our vacation with four generations! there was a main floor bedroom and bathroom for the grandparents and separate bedrooms for everyone upstairs. There was lots of room to spread out. We were very comfortable. The long table in the dining room was a nice gathering place. We loved walking around town and visiting the shops and cafe! The Silver Lake sand dunes were amazing and just 15 minutes away! We would love to come back again!

Charming place with everything you need labeled and at your fingertips. It was the perfect spot to getaway and unwind. Sarah and Kasey were excellent hosts.

The home was amazing for us and the dogs. The addition of the boat dock out the back yard was very helpful since we didn’t need to launch our boat each day. The firepit and complimentary fire wood was a great additional touch. Would love to stay again!

The place was a perfect stay for our day of golf at Arcadia. Hosts were great and responded quickly with anything we need. Including checking on things we potentially left behind. They could not have been more spot on referring us to Grille 44 for drinks and dinner, walkable if you’re up for it. 10/10 would stay here again!

Micheal was very quick to respond to me when I had a couple small issues. The place was nice and clean. The only possible negative is I don't think I would walk the neighborhood with my kids. Could just be me. Some of the houses were a bit run down, the ones right by Micheal are not though. Anyways, we really enjoyed ourselves! Still 5 stars. Anything Michael can control is 5 out of 5

We enjoyed every minute of our stay. The place was so tidy and cute, very welcoming. We loved the hot tub after some long hikes, and felt completely at home. Thank you for sharing your space with us!

Great place to recharge the batteries. Great for the whole family

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this incredible cabin, and it exceeded all of my expectations! The moment I walked in, I was struck by the beautiful decoration and the charming antiques that give the place such a warm and unique character. Every corner seemed to have a story to tell. The beds were extremely comfortable, making it easy to get a good night’s sleep. The views from the cabin were absolutely breathtaking. Me and my friends were literally debating to decide who was going to sleep in the bed by the window with the lake view. The scenery of that place is something special. We made great use of the grill and spent time lounging by the pool, which was the perfect way to relax. Dave was incredibly hospitable, making sure we had everything we needed. If you’re looking for a getaway that combines comfort, style, and a touch of nostalgia, this cabin is the perfect choice. I can’t wait to return!

This place was exactly as listed. The host was on top of responding to any questions. She left us a bottle of wine but we ended up not drinking, how nice though! The bar and the beach were awesome only thing bad was the weather, too cool to sit out there. There is plenty of parking for trailers if you’re going to the sand dunes. We are hoping to book it again in mid summer to utilize the beach and water! Great place to stay 100% recommended!

We had an incredible time at this beautiful lakefront home! The property is spacious, impeccably clean, and has everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. The host was exceptional—responsive, accommodating, and genuinely made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Whether we were fishing or just relaxing by the water, there was no shortage of things to do. Absolutely amazing stay! I don’t even know where to start. Not only were the hosts very responsive, but they were so respectful and kind. The property was gorgeous, a dream. The garage had every bar game you could ask for, on top of the gorgeous design of the home. The neighborhood was cute and quaint, as well. The bedrooms and bathrooms had everything you could need and more. We had six guests, and we could have fit even more on top of that. The area also had a lot of fun things to do. You could play 18 holes at Arcadia or enjoy a delicious cider at Northern Natural. Crystal mountain also has amazing spa services to check out. Definitely a 5 star stay, I could give it 6 if I could!

This was by far the favorite cottage we have rented. The beach area was perfect for our kids ages 3, 7, 10. They loved swimming, going fishing, making smores around the pit, sleeping in bunk beds and watching Netflix! The neighbors were so friendly too. We also enjoyed relaxing under the pergola and being so close to several bike trails.

The home was beautiful. Exactly like the pictures. Very peaceful surroundings and private backyard area. The yard wasn't fully fenced in, but it was nice that there were fences on either side of the yard, separating the neighbors, making it more private. There wasn't a lot of activity on the lake, which was nice. Loved all the outdoor furniture as well. Very comfortable. The hosts were great; very responsive and helpful! The only recommendation I have is maybe adding some dressers in the bedrooms for a place to put clothes.
