Oh gosh such a wonderful place, beautifully renovated and decorated! The hosts were not there during our stay but very active and helpful through messaging. Checking in was very easy. We did meet the neighbour who was very kind and welcoming. Located on the edge of a nice village with the cutest and friendliest shop, the house is surrounded by lambs and sheep, perfect for our Easter getaway. The beds were super comfortable, the bedroom dark and quiet. We loved the wooden bench and the fireplace. There is a cupboard full of games and puzzles. The kitchen is very well equipped, there is lots of tea and coffee to use. All the little trinkets were so nice! (Where did you get those cute salt and pepper shakers?) We had some bad luck with the weather, lots of rain so our walk in Dartmoor got cut short, but coming home to this cosy place was just as good! We hope to come back again!

Great hosts! Little Idle has a lovely energy. The decor is tasteful and homely but not cluttered. It is very light and spacious, a great use of space with lots of windows and doors. The bed is extremely comfortable. It's very peaceful at night so you are guaranteed a good nights sleep. There is ample storage for your things. Really effective under floor heating and wood burner. The shower has great pressure and the bath is comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped and I loved the selection of teas available. There are some fun games and great literature provided. The internet was down but this wasn't a problem as there was good signal with 3 network. The hot tub was positioned in a perfect spot over looking the valley, it was really special. There is no light pollution so on a clear night you can see the milky way. Take a torch/lamp if planning to use the after sunset under the stars. Would LOVE to return again, I am feeling very relaxed after my stay, thank you!

Wonderful stay at Ashwell Cottage, exceptionally clean. All mod cons wrapped up in a lovely cottage. Great location, close to the town of Totnes. The hosts, Don and Karen were very welcoming and gave us ideas as to where to visit. We will be visiting that area again and would most definitely stay at Ashwell Cottage.
