Beach house vacation rentals in Half Moon Bay

This one is truly a gem and exactly as described. Great space, great view and balcony, hear the waves from the living room. They equipped it as they live there, we lacked nothing. Also managed by very reaponsive team, so this is a great combo. Would definitely stay again! One thing not listed in the instrux was where the not so easy to find designated parking space for the unit is and the need to go down the driveway from the street to get to the building.

Monika's place was indeed a home away from home. The location was great, and the place was extremely clean. She also did as good a job as any host that I've dealt with in providing detailed instructions regarding the facility, as well as all kinds of info about local points of interest and available services. Indeed top notch. My family and I were visiting San Francisco, and Monika's place afforded us a very convenient and more reasonably priced option to downtown. No question that we would look to stay there again when we get back to the area.

The heated pool and hot tub were the focus of this very successful vacation. There were 8 of us: a family of 4 from Oakland, (Mama, Papa, girl 7, girl 3), from Chicago - a couple 37 & 40, and from Martha's Vineyard, us, 75 & 79. The 3 bathrooms were great, and the kitchen was well equipped. We ordered out mostly, from Hawaiian and Mexican restaurants. We spent a day on the boardwalk, and another on the trail at Wilder Ranch, where cliffs overlook ledges with MANY sunning sea lions, The house is easy walking distance from a couple of beaches. During our winter stay, there were high tides, wind and surf warnings. The views were spectacular. Also instructive. The father took his daughters an early morning walk; they saw a woman swept from the beach across the pavement. She had bloody knees, but was otherwise fine, but she and her two equally insane friends came off the beach. I hope the girls will remember this vivid lesson when they grow up to be invulnerable teenagers. Doubt it.

A group of lifelong friends and I meet once a year for a long weekend to catch up, decompress, and spend time together. We chose San Francisco this year and after hunting on AirBnB we stumbled across this estate on JAR Farms. The host Nikki was proactive, helpful, and responsive. We arrived on Wednesday and drove to thru the gate into a lush oasis. The pictures on the listing didn't do the property justice. We arrived at the guest house to a welcome gift of wine, local honey, and snacks. We were a group of 6 adults and the guest house was cozy yet a perfect size for a reunion of friends. We were given a tour of the property showing us the boat house/beach, grand staircase to the bay overlook, the pool house (pool and hot tub), gardens, bee hives, and the many trails on the property. The mornings we hiked Monahan Trail at the adjacent Old St. Hillary's Preserve. In the afternoons we enjoyed the hot tub and a nice bbq dinner. Perfect weekend! HIGHLY recomended. Will be returning!

This is a beautifully kept home that accommodated all the needs of our trip. Rooms are very spacious and plenty of restrooms for everyone. Very peaceful location and host was great at communicating. We had a very pleasant stay.

The decor was delightful! Very well outfitted with everything you need.beds super comfy. Really good size. We had more than enough room. I appreciate that Crystal saw no issue with my service dog joining us. I was a bit disappointed that you had to be on the balcony to see the beach. There was a complex in the front blocking most of the view from indoors. I also had issue with parking. The garage was only for small cars and the street parking was inconsistent and required several steps. My handicapped daughter found it a bit difficult. The area was not easily walked being on a very very steep hill. I wish there were more info in the description. All in all, it was a gorgeous place and really clean, highly recommend for non handicapped folks.

Julieta's place is wonderful, offering an experience that goes beyond expectations. The views are absolutely breathtaking and the house itself is exceptionally spacious, meticulously clean, and thoughtfully equipped with a wealth of amenities to ensure your comfort and enjoyment.

Arlene is a great host. She let us check in early at 2PM with no questions asked! Very responsive and quick! Enjoyed this home for my family, we have a toddler. We even saw whales right outside the home!!!

The place was great, literally across the street from the beach, super clean and comfortable, and the best part was the kayak, which we took out in the morning and we were able to see dolphins, sea lions, and otters fantastic!!

We selected the home to celebrate a 60th birthday with siblings. It was perfect for our group of five. We walked (and ran) on the beach, did puzzles, made meals together, and spent quality time just hanging out. Kitchen has everything one could need. Plenty of supplies. Clear instructions and expectations. We’d absolutely return.

I can’t boast about this place enough. Holly went above and beyond to communicate with me. She gave lots of recommendations for food places. We tried Manuel’s, Venus, Pizza my Heart, and The Hideout. Hands down, hideout was my favorite! The home was BEAUTIFUL! Literally, a dream! Our kids (12 & 7) loved it too. We celebrated my son’s 7th bday there. We beached every single day! Their home was beautiful, clean, and magical. The hubby and I slept with the doors cracked open upstairs and literally fell asleep and woke up to the crashing waves. Walk across the street and you’re on the beach! It was heaven. I told my family I was depressed coming back home. HA! The backyard was darling! The lights were my favorite & I didn’t realize there was a little sandpit. Such a great gem. We were welcomed with a basket too. Filled with local bread, taffy (my fav), cookies, wine and coffee; Even with a hand written note. I can’t wait to book their home again. It was a dream. Thank you for having us!!

Great place and location. The hot tub with a view of the water and the stars is everything. We have stayed here before. It is a favorite. Unfortunately, a work crisis interrupted our stay, but we will be back. The local restaurant Tony’s Seafood was apparently bought by Hog Island and the oysters and the clam chowder are to die for. Rachel was our server and couldn’t have been nicer. I recommend purchasing groceries and libations in San Rafael or elsewhere before you get there. Enjoy.

What a peaceful retreat and a wonderful host! We have stayed on Richmond Point several times while visiting our daughter at Cal and it never disappoints. The view from here is incredible! And Vivien’s place is just perfect. You have the entire lower level to yourself, with your own private deck literally on top of the Bay, with views of the city and both the Golden Gate and the Bay Bridge. It’s a great location to get to Cal, to S.F. or wine country. And Vivien is the perfect host—welcoming but not intrusive, and just simply delightful. Thanks again for a wonderful stay!

Beautiful view and walkable location.

We had an amazing stay at the cottage. The location was perfect and very walkable to the coastal trail/beach as well as downtown. The cottage was perfect for our family and really enjoyed the indoor/outdoor space (and the kids toys!) Joelle was a fantastic host with prompt communication and accommodations. Would definitely come back again, highly recommended!

What a serene respite away into such a calm, beautiful, thoughtful space. Pack what you need and just stay awhile, the environment is one where you never want to leave. Very comfy bed, such thoughtful decor, and a calming outdoor space. It's tucked into a little neighborhood in Bolinas with dirt roads and the best smells imaginable : ) that's west Marin for you. Alina is an incredible host.

This is an exceptional home. The pictures don’t do the sunsets, ocean or the mountain view justice. The house itself is immaculate and up to date. It had everything in it you would need. I was impressed with the responsiveness of the host. The house and neighborhood are beautiful. We will definitely be staying here again.

Lovely cottage just two blocks from downtown! Super cute antique decor with a modernized kitchen. The bed were soooooo comfy! We really enjoyed our stay!

The bungalow itself is peaceful, beautifully designed, and perfectly nestled in nature. The stunning seaside views, colorful tide pools, and sightings of whales, seals, and other wildlife made every moment feel magical. Kim’s local insight into trails, sights, and hidden gems only added to the experience. The Sea Wolf Bungalow will forever hold a special place in our hearts, and I feel incredibly grateful for the memories made there and for the chance to get to know Kim. We absolutely loved our stay at Katia’s house! The home is beautiful, with stunning ocean views, spotless cleanliness, and a warm, comfortable feel enhanced by aesthetically pleasing decor. The beds were perfect, with excellent blankets, linens, and towels, and the showers were fantastic. Every room had its own heater, which was great. The kitchen was both beautiful and well-equipped, with thoughtful treats waiting for us. The location was ideal, and the local information Katia provided helped us make the most of our time out and about. The backyard fire pit looked amazing—unfortunately, we couldn’t use it due to the weather, but we hope to experience it on a future visit! We truly appreciated Katia’s attention to detail, her thoughtfulness, and the care she put into ensuring every need was met. Our stay was incredibly relaxing, enjoyable, and comfortable. We felt lucky to have booked her place, were sad to leave, and would absolutely love to return!

This beach bungalow is fabulous ! The home is clean, comfortable and has all the amenities needed for a relaxing getaway! The outdoor patio is a bonus living room! The location has a nice ocean view and easy access to walks along the beach. Heather is a great host! The recommendations provided are very helpful and spot on! Will definitely book this wonderful gem for our next visit to Santa Cruz!
