Monthly Rentals in Hackthorpe

I had a solo holiday in this lovely place. As a female on my own I felt safe and John let me know he was close by if needed. That was kind a reassuring. I was looking for a peaceful, quiet, cosy getaway which is exactly what I got. Walking distance to the pub in Askham and Lowther Castle was great. But also a great spot to head deeper into the Lake District. I’d highly recommend The Old Pavillion.

Ian & Ruth’s place was the perfect spot for an overnight stay on our way from the Cotswolds to Edinburgh. It was lovely to be greeted by Ian & Ruth and relax in the cosy and comfortable Little Byre. It had everything we needed and more. We were surprised to find bread, butter, jam, cereal and biscuits in addition to the more expected milk, tea & coffee. We would happily recommend Little Byre to anyone.

Martin's place was very good and we stayed for one night as a stop over. The property had all the basic amenities and was located in a peaceful location, with the bedroom window overlooking the scenic landscape. Martin was very responsive and we enjoyed the company of the cats as they were happy to greet us whenever we came out of the property. Superb property and a fantastic host.

Lovely, relaxing few days spent here! The accommodation was immaculate and well placed for walks and local attractions. Communication was easy and responsive. Well worth a stay!
