La casa se encuentra a las afueras de Guimaraes, en una zona muy tranquila, apenas a 10 minutos del centro histórico. Los dueños de la casa son muy atentos y el desayuno (por el que hay que pagar adicionalmente) merece la pena. Además destacar la amabilidad y el trato cercano. 100% recomendable.

Angelique is een geweldige host en de plek die ze heeft met het verblijf is prachtig. Het dorpje is heel schattig en op haar terrein heeft ze een fijn zwembad en heerlijke plekjes om te zitten. Ze wilde alles heel goed voor ons regelen en dat heeft ze ook gedaan. Wij hebben ontzettend genoten en zouden iedereen deze prachtige plek aanraden, om helemaal tot rust te komen.

Lugar tranquilo, apartado del bullicio, ideal para desconectar con un grupo de amigos, pareja o familia. Relativamente cercano a diferentes sitios interesantes como de Barcelos, Braga… encontrando la mayor parte de los servicios necesarios para hacer del alojamiento algo precioso. Nosotros hemos ido con dos peques en plenas navidades y teníamos por el frío… pero con las dos chimeneas y la amabilidad de los anfitriones para encenderlas cada día y ayudarnos fue increíble. A mayores, nos dejaron radiadores eléctricos en las habitaciones por si los requeríamos… lo recomendaría indudablemente

Meer dan prima! Centraal in Amarante, bijzonder gebouw (het leek wel een museum!), goed ontbijt, eigenlijk een te klein bed maar we gaven vooraf aan dat het goed was (stom).

Our stay at Quinta Dos Carqueijais was a perfect 10/10! We chose the Villa das Oliveiras, which offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the surroundings. It truly feels like you're immersed in the forest with beautiful views of the lake. The entire property is seamlessly integrated with nature, creating an idyllic setting for complete disconnection. The accommodation itself is stunning, perfectly equipped, and incredibly comfortable—far better than what you might expect from the photos. The breakfast is plentiful, with great attention to detail. Additionally, we had the chance to enjoy the spa facilities, which include a jacuzzi, sauna, massages, and a heated indoor pool, all at a very competitive rate. Quinta Dos Carqueijais is the perfect place to unwind for a weekend getaway or to celebrate a special occasion near the Peneda-Gerês National Park
