Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Guimarães

We loved our stay at this serene retreat in Sao Torcato. We stayed five days and it was all worth it. The staff was attentive, articulate and so helpful. I hope we can return in the future.

Helder was a very charming host with delicate touches offered upon arrival that we enjoyed enjoying;) The house is very well located, not far from shops for shopping, an excellent churrasqueira Costa, and Guimarães to enjoy the visit of this historic city of Portugal. We had a great time with the family and enjoyed this house and its pool that made our children happy! The plus with the heat: the billiards table, the air conditioning in the bedrooms and the ice maker;) I recommend to anyone looking for a quiet stay and enjoy the proximity to Fafe and Guimarãres, more touristy cities, but nice to do when it's less hot.

Fabulous holiday in a beautiful villa in beautiful surroundings. Antonio was a very helpful host, recommending restaurants and supermarkets to us. Lots of space for a mixed family holiday of 7. Villa had all required amenities.

We had a wonderful stay and the hosts were incredibly friendly and responsive. Lots of room and beautiful surroundings. We travel with an electric wheelchair and the place wasn’t wheelchair accessible (which we expected) but the hosts were super supportive and offered to help us get the wheelchair in and out of the house when needed!

If you are looking for a secluded, quiet, peaceful place, then you need to stay at Cesar's House. The sounds of the stream, the quiet neighborhood and get to stay what was a medieval mill gives you the feel of history. Cesar was great. He met us to greet us at our arrival. Treated us to breakfast with croissants, Portuguese patries, and breakfast drinks. The house has all the amenities you need for your stay. There are stores and restaruants within easy walking distance. I felt safe day or night at Cesar's. Can't say enough. Cesar was easy to communicate with as well. Highly recommend!

Extremely welcoming host with a lot of nice touches for us (flowers, fruit, etc.). Communication is easy because she speaks French very well as well as several other languages. Very flexible on schedules and giving good recommendations. Accommodation with a peaceful setting in exposed stone with fireplace (very nice in February). Both bathrooms are convenient for a family. Very good location for sightseeing. Complicated access because of steep roads but reward on arrival.

Antonio is an excellent host. He patiently waited for us for over an hour as we were delayed. He personally showed us the apartment and it's amenities. The apartment is clearly a labour of love. It is very well maintained. The rooms are large, the kitchen is great and the bathrooms are spotlessly clean. It is located at walking distance from all major historical places. With Antonio's responsiveness and personal touch, we could not have asked for more.

Easy communication with the host. It made it easy for us to check in and respond quite quickly. Apartment in very good condition and clean.

If you are looking for a quiet and comfortable accommodation, very close to Guimaraes center, I can absolutely recommend Carla's house. If we had known beforehand how beautiful the house is, then we would have chosen it as our location from which to comfortably visit Porto, Braga and other cities. Absolutely recommended

Great apartment. A little hard to locate at first - but it is an apartment building and ones you get the direction from the host it's become easy. Apartment is clean and following street it's on will lead you right to the center plaza. On small complaint - cooler water in shower, may be needs to be readjusted...otherwise Great 3 bedroom, Elevator works, car parking underground, walk to the center = life is good :)!!!

Very nice place to spend a few days with the family. Highly recommended for those with young children. The house was spotless and the outdoor garden is great for spending some quality time. Mr. Vitor was very friendly and always very quick to respond. The check-in and check-out process was very simple and fast. He gave several suggestions of places to go for lunch/dinner or shopping. The house is located in a very nice village and relatively close to other towns/big cities with a lot to do. I recommend it 100% for anyone planning to stay in this area.

Warm welcome from Maria and her loved ones who were able to put us at ease right away. It's a pleasure to have lived in their beautiful home. Don't hesitate! Maria does not hesitate to advise us and respond to our messages when we were looking for information about braga. Clean house, well-equipped, large for a large 10 guests. We felt right at home and will definitely be back for a future stay.

Very nice house, the caretaker Olivia was very welcoming and did us a favor. The estate is very large, many more peaceful (shaded corner, large pool...) there is a very nice dog who stayed with us during our stay. The only small downside is the automatic watering which is not too often too often, which is not necessarily necessary sometimes. I recommend this vacation rental with friends in Portugal! ☺️

A wonderful property. The pool was amazing. We had everything we needed. Luis was great in answering questions we had. He looked after the pool maintenance while we were there. Would love to come back again.

Our stay went very well, Joao is very responsive and very friendly, he was able to respond to all our requests. The houses are pristine and very well laid out, the outdoor space is amazing, so nice 🌸🌳 The heated pool is a real plus that completes this gem ✨ We will be back!
