Alcina and Jorge are wonderful hosts, with a beautiful home tucked away in a small town, perfect for guests who want peace in nature and a salt water pool to cool off in It’s 30 minutes drive from the airport, great if you’re hiring a car. The local supermarket Pingo Doçe is 5 minutes away, I was able to cook simple meals in the annexes kitchen and store things in the fridge. My stay here was relaxed, comfortable and enjoyed conversations in the garden/terrace with the family, two very friendly dogs who I’ll miss! The perfect hosts who allowed me to have some space but also showed me great hospitality. It was an absolute pleasure to stay and I will definitely be returning when next in Portugal.

At first we requested the normal room, but being there with the baby we requested a bigger and much better one. Lovely apartment, super comfortable, with huge bed and all the amenities. Very complete kitchen. Nice design and very clean. The rural environment is very quiet, although no roads to walk or anything to do in the surroundings. Guimaraes 15 min drive. Very clean and nice pool and fantastic restaurant. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

It is very well located, close to the citizen shop and bus station. The room is very clean and comfortable. Clarice is extremely friendly and is very responsive. Highly recommend!!!

It was a privilege to have known D. Fátima. Always very attentive to our well-being. It helped us with everything we needed. A fantastic breakfast with a special mime (natural orange juice), which was provided to us by D's companion. Fátima. We did this little bike adventure, which were stored in the garage of the house. Corrou all very well. I recommend..See you next time...

Staff was wonderful, very helpful and responsive. We had a delightful wine tasting. They set up a taxi to take us to town and told us where to have dinner. The small village was extremely charming, we had a great dinner and our taxi driver was waiting to take us back after. The room and property were top notch. the only minor issue we had and it may be our fault, is we were further away from the Douro Valley than we thought. The directions were correct, but I missed my turn into the property, it isnt much of a road and it sneaks up on you. It would be challenging to find at night. But in the end, we were extremely pleased with our experience and very glad we stayed. We would wholeheartedly recommend it!!

The site is truly wonderful, it has easy access to the jacuzzi pool, and the sauna. lacks some indication of their use, but nothing that has been complicated or impossible. the phenomenal room! The bathroom and kitchen very clean. Generally an excellent place to chill out.

We were overnight stays And this one was nice Angélique is an extremely available, welcoming and warm host. And the homes it offers are comfortable and functional She even set up a kitchen for everyone to eat and drop things off In short, we would recommend this property!

More than fine! Central in Amarante, special building (it looked like a museum!), good breakfast, actually a too small bed but we indicated in advance that it was okay (stupid).

Angelique is a great host and the place she has with the stay is lovely. The village is very cute and on her property she has a nice swimming pool and wonderful places to sit. She wanted to take care of everything very well for us and she did. We enjoyed it very much and would recommend this beautiful place to everyone, to completely relax and unwind.

Our stay at Quinta Dos Carqueijais was a perfect 10/10! We chose the Villa das Oliveiras, which offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the surroundings. It truly feels like you're immersed in the forest with beautiful views of the lake. The entire property is seamlessly integrated with nature, creating an idyllic setting for complete disconnection. The accommodation itself is stunning, perfectly equipped, and incredibly comfortable—far better than what you might expect from the photos. The breakfast is plentiful, with great attention to detail. Additionally, we had the chance to enjoy the spa facilities, which include a jacuzzi, sauna, massages, and a heated indoor pool, all at a very competitive rate. Quinta Dos Carqueijais is the perfect place to unwind for a weekend getaway or to celebrate a special occasion near the Peneda-Gerês National Park
