Smoking friendly vacation rentals in Guanacaste Province

We had a wonderful stay in the Lantana Apartment with amazing rainbows in the morning and golden sunsets. The location is convenient, the bed is comfortable, the kitchen well stocked. It had everything we needed for our stay. Andrea was always quick to respond and she had great instructions with pictures.

Beautiful view. Pool was a good temperature. Inside was very nice. We would stay here again for the great experience. Great location that gives you the privacy and ocean view but still very close to town and beaches. Be prepared for some ants inside and outside but they don't bother anything.

Everything at Jeff's was more than I expected. I am so grateful and thankful to him for sharing his Oasis with us, everything was out of this world. We spent our mornings at the beach enjoying the sunrise, followed by playing with Carver, and our afternoons in the beautiful pool. Our space was completely separate from Jeff's house, had a full kitchen, bathroom, AC and was clean. The location is walkable to the beach and restaurants, everything you need is close by. Jeff, and Carver, are so friendly and personable, his local knowledge was invaluable. He gave us tips on private beaches, delicious restaurants and different ways for us to enjoy everything Los Pargos has to offer. He really made our stay there so special and we will be visiting him again the next time we're in Costa Rica. Jeff truly cares about the space and wants his guests to experience Pura Vida, and it shows. Thank you, thank you, thank you Jeff, and Carver, for everything!!

The apartment was one of the bests during our time in Costa Rica. It is very clean, nicely furnished and has a stunning view down on the forest and the ocean. There are some good sunset spots nearby but you can also see it from the terrace. Yesenia is super friendly and easy to reach either down the stairs or via AirBnB. There are plenty of activity options in the area around and Santa Elena is a cute town with many restaurants and souvenir shops.

Ricardos place was amazing. The pool area was top notch and we spontaneously decided to spend the whole day there. The area is very spacious, you can see iguanas running around in front of your door, hear howling monkeys (maybe even see one if you're lucky). Great nature area, a very cozy home, a kitchen with everything that we needed and a gas grill for bbq on top of all that. Can really recommend Ricardo's place if you're looking to be very close to Tamarindo centre (4 min drive) but still have your private little retreat. Will definitely come by again if we ever visit Costa Rica again!

Very safe and private, you can really rest in the place. We loved the pool and the ranch, it's big and suitable for the whole family. The nearby river is beautiful, we didn't imagine it was so nice, it's a place to connect with nature and rest with the family. Close to the Rincón de la Vieja Volcano and about an hour from the Bahía Junquillal Wildlife Reserve, a wonderful beach, we would definitely come back again. Jorge was very helpful at all times, he was attentive to us and what we needed, he is a super host, we recommend it.

Eva's place was incredibly peaceful and private with a beautiful, well tended garden out back. With the windows open, you don't feel the need for AC at all (it was very cool during our stay in early March.) The windows do not have any screens, which created a few humorous encounters with critters, but we had a great time. It is also a tricky/steep drive along rocky mountain roads to most places, but this seemed to be the case for everywhere here (except maybe in Santa Elena itself.) We had a great time and Eva was a great host.

Our stay at Elisabeth and Michael's home was fantastic! We felt as though we had stepped back in time to the early 1900's. They have done an amazing job restoring the place while retaining the original character. Their home is truly a work of art. While there are a few modern conveniences one might find missing, we had everything we needed, were very comfortable and felt completely at home. Michael's breakfast was wonderful and he was always ready to help in every way possible. Our conversations with our hosts were captivating and one of the hi lights of our time in Costa Rica! It is quite apparent that Elisabeth and Michael love Puntarenas and Costa Rica. That affection is quite contagious and we found ourselves more in love with their country having visited with them in their home for a few days and would definitely stay with them again.

Casa Bosque will forever be in our happy memories! My family had such an incredible stay here. The hosts, Forest and Andrea, were so attentive to our questions or needs. She even made us sourdough bread one morning! They were respectful of our space and felt genuinely glad we were enjoying ourselves. They took our families sunset pics the last night. It was great getting to know them! The home is picturesque and has everything you need to enjoy Playa Negra. The beautiful pool overlooked the ocean and tropical landscape. It was refreshing to lounge in during the heat of the day. The kitchen had every amenity we needed to fix coffee, breakfast, and lunch. We chose to try restaurants in the area for dinners each night. Howler monkeys delighted us a couple of days when we could see the family hopping through the trees. The beach out front was a dream to walk out to from your own private entrance. We will definitely be putting this home on our “go back to” list. We enjoyed every minute!!

Great location. Close enough to the beach for a perfect morning run. Super quiet and very safe, as the place is large but completely walled in. A perfect blend of security and seclusion.

We enjoyed our stay tremendously. The house was perfect for us, the kids enjoyed the pool, and Erick was super helpful.

My family and I had an amazing time at the blue house. We were in awe of the beautiful scenery not only on the way to the house but all around the house as well. The river was awesome and the private stairs giving access to the river was amazing. The house had everything we needed and Anisa was extremely helpful and accommodating. We hope to be back one day!

We stayed here for two nights and loved it. The view was amazing. Everything we needed was there. Magarle’s super sweet cat spent a lot of time with us. We loved the hot tub at night after traveling or being on the go all day. Magarle was very kind and super helpful with suggestions. We had a couple issues with the hot water and she fixed it immediately. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

This Condo was really great value. The pictures are accurate and the patio and its view are legit. Ilya was super responsive, kind, and helpful. Ilya makes sure the condo has all the amenities you would hope for (kitchen stuff, salt/pepper, beach towels/chairs, cooler, repellent, etc.). The condo is in a gated community manned 24/7, but you really don't need that in Coco, but it provides some peace of mind. It is semi walk-able. It is about 1/2 km to some nice restaurant/coffee shops and 1 km to the main road in town. You have to want to walk it as there is elevation getting back to the condo. So good exercise, or just a 3-5 min car ride to town. I had no issues parking but it was low season. Overall, this is a really great value and as advertised. It would work well for a single, a couple, or a couple with small children, but he 2nd room and shared shower could get small for more people than that.

Whether it was dining, excursions, or local tips, he ensured that I experienced the best of what this paradise has to offer. Yes, the cost was higher due to peak season, but honestly, the view alone made it worth every penny!

Lis's accommodation is in excellent condition just for a family trip, the location is excellent close to many beautiful beaches, we hope to return. My daughter's comment: I love the villa the pool was delicious very clean and the house is beautiful, I really liked that it was in front of the Potrero beach. I loved the terrace which has everything very nice. 😊🏖️

Ilya was super friendly and helpful. He met us at the gate for check-in and showed us around the unit and property. Everything was clean and easy to access. There are multiple restaurants within walking distance and a couple min drive into downtown you can find a ton more. The beach is also within walking distance. It’s a calm beach with black sand. Not a lot around there but we had fun with our kids. This place is peaceful and relaxing and has great views of the ocean. Would recommend!

Excellent location, ideal to visit other beaches in the area. The place is new, with a very nice pool. The views are very good towards the bay and towards the mountains.

We passed through Tamerindo (awesome area) on our 1st trip to Costa Rica as a family of 5 (kids - 8, 13, 19) and Tushar's place was perfect for our day visit! It was safe, cozy and zen...actually better than the pics! Wish we had more time -- would love to return!
