Vacation rentals with lake access in Guanacaste Province

Our family has a wonderful stay at Ulfran’s! Ulfran cut down coconuts for our family and taught us how to open them. The property is beautiful and filled with birds and monkeys. We loved being woken up by howler monkeys every morning! The location was very close to many activities… Sloth’s paradise down the road was the highlight of our trip! We saw frogs, eyelash viper snakes and sloths up close and in their natural habitat (not a zoo or caged area - completely natural).

We had a fantastic stay at this beach house in Costa Rica. The home was beautifully designed, clean, and thoughtfully appointed — everything felt comfortable and well-maintained. What truly made this experience stand out was the incredible support from the hosts. They went above and beyond, helping us plan our entire trip, from local recommendations to coordinating activities and transportation. Their help made everything easy and stress-free. We’d absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and well-supported getaway in Costa Rica.

We had a really good time at Loretta's Airbnb, it was bigger than the photos and we had plenty of space, also everything was really clean. the only down I would think of, is that the kitchen sink was really small and it was really uncomfortable to clean dishes. Overall I would say it was really worth it, really good experience to share with friends and family.

We have an incredible view, privacy and the possibility to rest in the garden both day and night. We have access to nearby areas such as Tejina and downtown Tilaran, which also made it easy to purchase additional items.

Our stay at Elisabeth and Michael's home was fantastic! We felt as though we had stepped back in time to the early 1900's. They have done an amazing job restoring the place while retaining the original character. Their home is truly a work of art. While there are a few modern conveniences one might find missing, we had everything we needed, were very comfortable and felt completely at home. Michael's breakfast was wonderful and he was always ready to help in every way possible. Our conversations with our hosts were captivating and one of the hi lights of our time in Costa Rica! It is quite apparent that Elisabeth and Michael love Puntarenas and Costa Rica. That affection is quite contagious and we found ourselves more in love with their country having visited with them in their home for a few days and would definitely stay with them again.

A Peaceful Getaway Near the Beach It was a beautiful house close to the beach, and it was the perfect mix of tranquility and convenience. Surrounded by nature, the property offered a private and peaceful retreat, ideal for relaxation. Despite the secluded feel, it was just a short distance from town, making it easy to access restaurants and any essentials. For us was perfect because we were looking for a quiet escape or a balance between nature and accessibility, this place offers the best of both worlds! Looking forward to visit again.

We stayed here early April and it was fantastic. The view was great. The proximity to the beach and having the shuttle that runs through the community was great. We got to spend many sunsets at the beach which was great. There are many restaurants right on the water which are an easy walk once you’re at the beach. I’d recommend staying here.

This place is a hidden gem. It is only a couple minutes walk from to the beach and It has security guards at the entrance to the parking area. The living quarters are exactly as described. This is the perfect location for one or two people to visit on a budget and stay in a very expensive area for a very reasonable price. Also. the added bonus of access to a very nice pool was much appreciated.

Greetings, I wanted to tell you how much we enjoyed our stay. We loved the views of the lake and mountains. The view from the living room is a constant reminder of the incredible natural beauty of Arenal. We enjoyed how the morning light fills the house, especially the main bedroom. We cooked almost every day. Great stove and a well equipped kitchen was a plus and saved us a lot of money. The house is cozy with great views. The grounds are beautiful and enhance the surrounding natural beauty. We really enjoyed the quiet comfort of the house and the environment you have created. What a great location and atmosphere and the Studio and garden is perfect with all necesities for a true beachfront vacation .. Definitely one of our best stays in Costa Rica. Sonny and Rita are the nicest most welcoming people! We will be back again as their Airbnb is a mew destination for us!!

We would return without thinking , the house has all the comforts to feel at home , the kitchen is very well equipped , the coffee royalty was incredible😊, the kitchen has salt , pepper, oil , disposable towels, all that makes you want to return , the rooms super comfortable. The rooms are always on the lookout , very friendly at all times. Upon arrival we saw deer in front of our house , the reservation has a lot to see and do . Time won't reach you 😆

Teako House was a really great stay, incredible value for the money, and a truly local experience in a real tico neighborhood that is located in a lush peaceful valley. The apartment was simple but surprisingly spacious and upgrades have been made since these pictures so I found things a bit more spruced up than I expected! From the little terrace you can see the surrounding teak farm and watch the clouds roll by (literally, you're in a cloud forest sometimes!). And the host Juan Carlos is a super nice local surfer and business owner who is stoked to offer up recommendations, etc. if you want them. I had to get some work done during my stay so I particularly appreciated the fast wifi and gorgeous relaxing nature view from the dining table that I used as my desk.

Alexandra is an incredible host. We spent 10 dream days at her place. She is available, caring, kind and so on. The accommodation is functional, with jungle views. It's very quiet, perfect for a change of scenery and tranquility. It is essential to have a car because the accommodation is not close to the center and other activities. I would 100% recommend!

We loved our stay right next to the lake. Beautiful views, garden with a sloth we saw in the trees. Fabulous breakfast cooked for us and delivered to our cabin, where we sat outside and enjoyed a peaceful breakfast looking over nature. Children loved the pool. We could easily have stayed more than 1 night if we had more time. Found a lovely bar nearby with fantastic views . Thank you for having us!

Beautiful farm and suitable for a family. I stayed with two little ones for a week and we had a great time. We were a bit surprised how remote it was but loved the quiet and peaceful atmosphere. The hosts are super friendly and helped with everything we needed Totally recommend if you are looking for a retreat like get away !
