Vacation rentals with a patio in Guanacaste Province

We loved our stay so much, the space is beautiful with lots of natural light, great studio layout. Mariel was very helpful throughout our stay, and it was so nice to do a Pilates class in her studio which is on the same property. It's in a very peaceful part of Tamarindo, but still close by to the town center. We will definitely stay here again in the future! It's my fave place I've stayed in Tamarindo thus far, and I go often. Happy to have found this gem. Thanks Mariel for making our stay amazing!

Beautiful place! The room was tiny & the hill was insane, but we enjoyed our stay and everything was great. The hosts are very kind & accommodating. The pool & views are amazing! Not the host’s fault, but we waited for over an hour for Tamarindo Shuttle to get us from the airport & the communication was very poor on their end. Do not use this company! All in all we would stay again.

Centrally located and easy to get to the store, beach club and restaurants. It was clean and comfortable. Easy to work with Casey!

We had the BEST three days at Villas Visto! Check in and out were easy; Nat and Dane were super responsive to messages and welcomed us with a guide to the area, which we found so helpful. We took them up on two recommendations (a restaurant and a catamaran snorkelling excursion) and both were excellent. The views from their place are incredible. The sunset in particular was stunning (and best enjoyed with a beverage in the pool!). It is really quiet and peaceful at night. All we heard were the birds and possibly howler monkeys. Yes, the drive up the mountain is a tad tricky, but we knew to expect it from the description and rented the right car for it. We hope to come back to Playa Protrero and will absolutely stay here again if we do, and that in itself says so much!

Excellent location to stay near the center of Tamarindo and the place is very nice and clean, as well as the pool.

We had a fantastic time at Lynzi and Graham’s place. They were super hosts and helped us tremendously. I would give them 10 stars if possible. Their location was beautiful. Lynzi’s attention to detail was super impressive. She even helped me celebrate my birthday with a lovely birthday crown. We would definitely visit again. We definitely recommend arriving in daylight with an SUV (SPORT mode!!) . The drive at night was tricky, but Lynzi and Graham met us and helped us to the house. Beautiful view. Beautiful sunsets.

We loved Casa Mariposa—everything was just as described on the platform. It's located 20 minutes from Tamarindo and very close to our family, which was essential for us. All the rooms have good air conditioning and ceiling fans, perfect for such hot weather. The pool was super clean, and the water was amazing. The house is fully equipped, and the garage fits two large cars. My only comment is that the kitchen and living room get quite hot; I would recommend installing an AC unit for that area in the future. Ronny is a wonderful person—attentive and constantly checking in on us.

Where to begin with my applause for this place! Lovely abode, tucked away in a little jungle oasis but a mere 10 minute walk to the beach & bars etc. Bikes on site which is a fun plus, beach chairs, cooler, scuba gear and more fun toys to enjoy at beach or in the great pool that was so refreshing to jump in after a salty beach day. There is also a washer and dryer that works great, countless different towels to use for pool, beach and showers. The bed was extremely comfy, the bedroom stays nice and cool, the shower has hot water and the porch is a beautiful way to spend an afternoon or evening. Communication is super quick and helpful. We will most definitely return, and bring friends and family to enjoy this wonderful spot. We love Villa Espeval!

Absolutely amazing stay! The house in Playa Potrero exceeded all expectations—it’s even better than the pictures! It’s spacious, incredibly comfortable, and fully equipped with everything you need. The pool is beautiful, perfect for relaxing, and the location is unbeatable, with so many stunning beaches just a short drive away. Enis went above and beyond, taking care of every little detail to make our stay perfect. You can truly feel the care put into this home. If you're looking for a stress-free, comfortable getaway in a fantastic location, this is the place to book. Highly recommended! the kitchen had absolutely everything needed for our stay.

Unfortunately, we only stayed at the property for one night during our tour of Costa Rica – but would have loved to have stayed longer! The location is wonderfully quiet and private, perfect for relaxing. Julieta and Elmer were great hosts and responded super fast. 🙂 We really didn't miss anything – the kitchen was superbly equipped and there were even extra towels for the pool. 🏊‍♀️ An absolute feel-good place – clear recommendation! ☀️

We spent a beautiful week at Casa Mariposa. We were 4 adults and 4 teens and the space was perfect for us. The house was spacious and there was lots of room for everyone. The location was great and very walkable to good restaurants and the spectacular beach! Appreciated the ample number of beach towels, the beach chairs and the tent. We would love to go back one day!

Hersol went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, including a bed for our toddler! Beds were comfy, the kitchen had all necessary appliances, and dishes. The pool was refreshing after a hot day. This house is RIGHT across from the beach! The balcony had a constant cool breeze with a beautiful view. The traffic was a little rough with nearly constant, fast traffic but it was really one of our best stays! Would recommend Hersol's home to anyone!

Kimberly’s place was spacious and virtually perfect. Loved the design and kitchen had EVERYTHING! Pool great. We even had monkeys outside our kitchen window! Only minor issues were water pressure/temp control in master bath and a loud A/C in master bedroom (I use ear plugs so it didn’t bother me but my partner had some difficulty sleeping the one night with it).

This apartment was a fantastic find. My favorite part was the rooftop patio, which had stunning views of the bay and unforgettable sunsets every evening. The complex has several pools, and my husband and I found our favorite: a shaded one with plenty of loungers and chairs, perfect for cooling off during the 35°C days. The location is ideal — just a short walk to the beach, neighbourhood restaurants, and coffee shops. We even caught a Toronto Maple Leafs playoff game at The Wave bar nearby! 8 minute walk to main street, where we discovered some great restaurants and charming shops. I even bought a beautiful ring at Amano Jewelry, a locally owned shop run by a husband and wife team who sell their own creations along with pieces by other local artists. Dorita was a wonderful host. Her instructions were clear and helpful. She was also very responsive and quick to answer any questions we had. Highly recommended — we’d absolutely stay here again!

We enjoyed Patrick's condo and all the amenities. It literally has everything you need for a comfortable stay. We enjoyed the pool and the extra large balcony. Groceries and restaurants all within walking distance. Best of all, Patrick was very responsive to any inquiries. Thanks Patrick, pura vida!

The condo exceeded expectations which were already fairly high. We had a few plumbing issues (no hot water & leak from one of the bathroom sinks), but the host was very reactive in having someone address them. Network was strong and reliable, kitchen was well equipped for proper cooking sessions and all three ACs worked perfectly, which were our priorities. The stunning sunset from the balcony was a much appreciated bonus.

Absolutely loved our stay. Renee arrived just as we were working on getting in to the unit and helped us settle in. She also gave us a local contact who was a HUGE help in arranging tours and rental car. Loved the truly “local” restaurant Estero Azul that she recommended. She was also helpful in explaining water issues the municipality had briefly during our stay. The location is private and quiet, but many restaurants, activities and a grocery store in easy walking distance made it easy to enjoy without a rental car. Comfortable space for 4 people, and the semi private beach right behind the unit was a huge bonus. Highly recommend the host and the location!
