Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Guanacaste Province

Excellent place to stay in Liberia, close to the airport, restaurants, stores, very safe , inclose parking, electric gate, easy access. The host was very responsive and friendly, I definitely will be back!! 🙏🏼🇨🇷

Lovely, clean and comfortable home in a safe and beautiful neighborhood. We arrived in the evening and it was a little bit of work getting into the neighborhood (they didn’t have our names for arrival). Power went out the first morning so that interrupted cooking breakfast (thankfully we brought some food and we used the grill) but then we also didn’t have water or a/c (and then had to get instructions for water filtering system). Also could not get into laundry facilities, even using a second set of keys. Host/concierge was responsive to communication but still couldn’t fix situation. Host/concierge also helped us start outdoor fire pit. Definitely would need to have or rent a car as it is not walkable to any tourist spots, beach, restaurants or stores. We had trouble getting Ubers and getting food for evening meals. We walked to JW Marriott but the beach was not a swimming beach and no amenities unless you stay or pay to join club. We were able to get an uber/taxi from the hotel.

This place is even more beautiful than in the pictures! We especially loved the pool which was always the perfect temperature. The decor and architecture was very natural and beautiful, complete with pretty tile work and natural boho decor. There is a nice kitchen with all the utensils you need to prep food and a relaxing living area. The true beauty of this location shines in the outdoor area which features a perfect sized pool, outdoor shower, fire pit and cute seating area. The host Esteban was so welcoming and very communicative. If you are thinking about booking this location, definitely do it! You will not be disappointed. Highly recommend!

Phenomenal stay! Stop searching and book this place—seriously. This house is absolutely spectacular—pictures don’t even come close to capturing how beautiful and serene it is. The view? Unreal. Just breathtaking. It’s only a minute walk to the beach and a charming local restaurant, and just 5 minutes to town and stores. Benton was amazing—responsive, kind, and incredibly helpful. He connected us with a private chef, in-home massages, and local excursions, making everything effortless and personal. We loved watching the wildlife—colorful frogs at night and giant lizards during the day—and the pool was the perfect temperature 24/7. This home is perfect for couples looking for total privacy, but we can’t wait to return with our kids next time. My husband and I travel frequently, and this was hands down one of the best vacations we’ve ever had. Thank you, Benton, for such an unforgettable stay. We’ll be back—and we’re already telling our friends around the world to book your place too!

Close to many attractions. Walkable to town but very dark and hilly, but with adult children this was very doable. Town was cute w many souvenir shops, coffee shops, bakeries and restaurants. House very comfortable and spacious.

Pictures dont do justice to how amazing the place is. The view is simply breathtaking and Rocio took care of everything as well as giving us some pretty good recommendations for places around the house.

A Peaceful Getaway Near the Beach It was a beautiful house close to the beach, and it was the perfect mix of tranquility and convenience. Surrounded by nature, the property offered a private and peaceful retreat, ideal for relaxation. Despite the secluded feel, it was just a short distance from town, making it easy to access restaurants and any essentials. For us was perfect because we were looking for a quiet escape or a balance between nature and accessibility, this place offers the best of both worlds! Looking forward to visit again.

Al’s place was nice, in a quiet location as expected with the beach just a minutes walk away. The kitchen was useful. The grounds were great for iguana spotting and one night we saw howler monkeys in the trees! The pool was a little green around the grouting which made me hesitate to go underwater but nonetheless very refreshing. The pool is shared as described, but directly outside the other apartment which at times makes you feel like you’re encroaching on someone else’s area. We were lucky as the other guests were very peaceful too. The place maybe needs a bit of attention in terms of window security, nets, and overall upkeep but the air-con was spot on and bathroom had left over niceties. However, I did always feel safe and not as many mosquitos as I anticipated which was a welcome surprise. Amazing walk along the beach or road with cafes/restaurants to explore. Despite the improvements suggested, the stay was lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed our time exploring Tamarindo.

We had a great and relaxing stay at the ranch. We enjoyed some lovely food, horseback riding and the hike around the property while we were here. Leonardo and Jorge were very responsive. Would definitely recommend!

Logan’s place was an absolute paradise. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there! The pool is amazing and a lot of fun! The garden is beautiful and brings so many different kinds of nature to watch. We saw something different everyday. His staff is very helpful and friendly. It was the best place to celebrate our 25th anniversary! Thank you!

Christian and Bonnie's place in Playa Hermosa is fantastic! It’s about a 20-minute walk to the beach and close to many restaurants. Playa Hermosa’s central location makes it easy to explore nearby beaches by car, which we highly recommend for a fuller experience. The one-bedroom suite has every amenity, including a well-stocked kitchen with dishes, pots, and pans and the basics of oil and seasonings. We loved the access to both gas and charcoal grills, plus a wood-fired pizza oven. Super soft towels and beach gear were offered and much appreciated. The pool was perfect for a refreshing dip. The outdoor area is spacious and comfortable for morning coffee and evening relaxation. Note that the roads in Playa Hermosa lack a sidewalk and there’s a slight uphill walk from the beach, which didn’t bother us, but may not be for some. The highlight of our trip was Bonnie and Christian, the amazing hosts. They were so welcoming and always ready to share local tips. We loved our stay!

what an experience! felt so surreal to be staying at this place. the view, front porch, garden, and the gazebo were great touches to enjoy nature without having to go into it. everything was cleaned well. lots to do around here! 10-20 mins away from all the fun things going on in Monteverde. curi cancha reserve, orchid garden, butterfly garden, el tigre waterfall fav place to eat Soda Shangri La would not drive in the dark. we stayed in after 530p small store 1 min away by car- 6 min walk that has basic essentials! would recommend stopping at bigger grocery store on way in for needs had a Mitsubishi fwd that had a 4x4 mode and that was a no no. not worth it to attempt to drive up. he has a small 2 car lot a bit above the base of the entrance - park there and walk up bugs galore. keep the windows/doors closed. also make sure you don't lock yourself out! if you do not like bugs please do not stay here. the bugs get really loud in the night, put ear plug & wear bug spray, reapply

If you are like me, always looking for views and sunsets don’t think twice! This comfortable little mountain home has by far the best views we have found so far in Monteverde. We usually head out at sunset time looking for a good spot but this stay we spent every evening watching the spectacular and ever changing panorama from our own front porch. Super comfortable beds and well equipped kitchen. Would like to add Waze will get you to the lower gate (search Casa del sol, Unnamed road). Just continue on the unpaved road and you will get there! Village is called Altos de Cebadilla.

We loved our stay at this special place in Monteverde! We were left some beautiful fresh eggs and told to help ourselves to the awesome herbs and veggies in the garden. Such a gorgeous view and lovely space perfect for catching up on sleep while exploring the awesome area.

A lovely house in the mountains with lots of big windows; bright, airy and offering stunning views! The house was even nicer than in the photos! It’s perfectly tucked away in nature, with no city noise, just the peaceful sounds of the cloudforest. We truly loved the tranquility of the place. You feel like you’re alone in the world, yet Monteverde is just a 10-minute drive away. Absolutely the best!

José and Dorita were very kind, we had a wonderful time exploring Monteverde from their location. We are avid birders and knocked a few goals off our list from the back porch. It is privately located, but we were in walking distance to a small grocery store and several great restaurants for dinner. The house itself is beautiful, with wonderful skylights and big windows for viewing the nature outside. Would recommend!

I love the place! Very nice views

Christina is an amazing host! She is always responsive, and knows the area very well. The breakfasts were amazing and comprehensive. Being able to walk to dinner at Selina was great as well as Monteverde. Walking to an art gallery and family-fun cafetal (coffee farm), albeit down the mountain, was challenging yet awesome. Pura Vida!

It was a pleasure to stay there, the cottages are comfortable and well-equipped. Our host was very responsive and welcoming! I would highly recommend it!
