Cottage vacation rentals in Gruene, New Braunfels

Cute little cottage with a ton of amenities right outside of downtown Wimberley. The location is great because it’s quiet but close enough for a 3 minute trip down the road to restaurants and shops. I’d recommend cabin 1/white because your porch with hot tub is very private. Everything was very clean and in excellent condition. I’d definitely stay here again.

Very cool place. Very laid back. Right on the water with plenty to do if you get creative. Highly recommend.

We had a great time, Tom was quick to respond when we were booking, the place was great, brought our dogs and had a really nice time. Right on the water and we had fun fishing from the lower level of the yard. Great outdoor grill and dinning area. Would stay again. Location was great and very convenient to everything.

Absolutely an adorable house with a lot put into the decor. It felt like home away from home. There are 3 types of AirBnbs: 1. Not going back there 2. That was enjoyable 3. Didn’t want to leave We definitely DIDN’T want to leave. -Neighborhood was clean. -Property and inside of the house was clean. -Easy to find. -Was private but yet people were around. -Adorable unique decor. -Solid A/C and heater. -Great water pressure. -Host was very responsive and friendly. We want to stay there again!!!

The place is very relaxing for a short get away. The quiet community is a nice change from the bustling city. Information was very clear and questions answered quickly. I only wished there were more than 2 bath towels. With then hot tub we shared one towel for that and one for the shower. Or maybe need to bring a beach towel. Otherwise very excellent

The cottage was everything it claimed to be and actually just perfect for my family of 5. She had everything you could possibly need. And she was super sweet and responsive to any questions I had. I will definitely stay again as the cute property was perfect. Daughter wanted to go antiquing for her bday and this was more than perfect. She loved it.

This is a cozy and comfortable little cabin located in a quiet neighborhood on the north side of Canyon Lake. It is within walking distance of Potter's Creek Park and the lake.

Left many helpful things for us, such as cooking materials, bathroom (showering and hygiene). Made it feel like home with all the decorations. Left fun activities for us as well, such as a tv, board games, and a speaker. All in all it was a very clean and homelike experience that made it fun for all the guests and will definitely book again when in town again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, it was the perfect get away! Kathy was such a gracious host and kept us informed of places to visit and events in town. She gave great instructions on how to find their place and stayed in touch to ensure we had everything we neeeded. She even hung a birthday sign because I mentioned we were celebrating husbands birthday! She left us hand feeders for the hummingbirds which was one of the highlights of the trip for us. We loved watching for all the birds on the feeders, walking out to feed the goats, and just having a peaceful place to be! It was a delight to meet Kathy and Wayne. Kathy even went out of her way to help my daughter hold one of the baby goats. We definitely hope to come back again some day! We loved purchasing some of Wayne's amazing metal work! We hope to visit again soon!

The perfect place for our family of three to stay for a wedding weekend in Driftwood. The home itself is beautiful, with comfortable furniture, a stunning bathroom, and a gorgeous porch with twinkle lights. The property is fun to walk around and my daughter was super interested in looking at all the animals. The place is very kid friendly, as well -- we appreciated the high chair, baby bath, and toys. Would absolutely recommend staying here!

Great location. Love the private enclosed parking. Perfect tiny home had everything I needed. Few Roaches and silverfish-but hey that’s Texas!

Very clean, cozy, comfortable place with a great view of the lake. Our stay was short for this trip. I will definitely reach out again next time I need a place in New Braunfels. Would recommend to my friends.

We had a great time staying 4 nights at Jim&Tambra's Casita. Great location between San Marcos and Wimberley. Easy access to restaurants, San Marcos attractions and located in beautiful TX hill country. The casita is located in a super quiet neighborhood, especially enjoyed the option to go for runs or walks in the quiet neighborhood streets as well the path on the property. The casita is exactly as described, super clean, everything is new and super functional. Jim&Tambra were very helpful and even explained some of the uniqueness of their beautiful place. Definitely recommend and will stay here again for future visits!

There are 2 houses on this property. I was staying 2 months, and about 10 days into my stay the hot water heater began leaking in the Plum Cottage. A replacement heater had to be ordered. I was offered the chance to move to the other (bigger) Stone House at no additional cost, either until the repair was made, or for the duration of my stay. I chose to remain at the bigger house for the duration. Not only was it an upgrade, but it kept me from having to move all my stuff yet again. That was a very kind offer !! Although this location is in the country and very peaceful, Wimberley is just a short drive for any needed supplies or to visit shops and restaurants. As I'd drive down the road this property is on, folks would wave when passing. I once encountered a deer in the yard as I was heading out. It moved a little farther away, but was still enjoying being on the property a little later when I returned. Nice to be in nature and able to share the same space. A pleasant stay !!

This place was beautiful very peaceful. Going inside was so beautiful very clean and organized. Kitchen had everything you need the living room was nice with game to place with the family. The beds, pillows and sheets were supper comfortable. Restrooms were really clean. Highly recommend!!

We had the absolute BEST experience staying at this perfect little cottage near Dripping Springs! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away. The home is small, but every inch of it is so thoughtfully designed and impeccably decorated — cozy, charming, and truly picture-perfect. It felt like stepping into a dream. The outdoor space was just as incredible — inviting, peaceful, and so comfortable that we honestly didn’t want to leave. We were supposed to be attending a retreat nearby, but we found ourselves wishing we could just stay at the cottage instead! The home was spotless, stocked with everything we needed, and the owner communicated flawlessly, making the whole process easy and welcoming. We can’t recommend this place enough and are already dreaming about coming back. It’s truly a hidden gem!

Fantastic Airbnb. Private and spacious, well appointed, and comfortable—with peaceful and relaxing vibes all around. The wrap around deck is the perfect place to hang out after a day of hiking and swimming. So glad we found it. Also excellent, accommodating, and responsive host. If you’re there for a show at Whitewater, look up NB Rides on FB—it’s a local rideshare service that’s way more reliable than Uber given the location and cell reception.

I had a wonderful week long stay in Wimberly and this house was a great home base. The house was very clean and comfortable. The owner had supplied water, snacks and coffee as a courtesy. The host was responsive, helpful and offered suggestions related to my interests. So much to do in Wimberley! Nearby State Parks, nature areas and parks have great hiking and views. Highly recommended!

I cannot say enough about this place. Perfect size for a small family or a few friends (we represent the former). A rare balance of charming, contemporary, and clean. Plenty of decor details that make you feel at home and immersed in the location all at once. A quick drive to downtown and even closer to the water. The outdoor seating with gazebo was lovely and definitely recommend visiting when the weather is nice enough to enjoy both the Airbnb and surrounding area to the fullest.

We stayed here for a quick overnight trip while visiting our son who’s a TXST student. This was only about 14 minutes from his dorm and so much better than the hotels in the area. The host communicated well and the place was clean and as described. We will definitely stay again.
