Cottage vacation rentals in New Braunfels

Cute little cottage with a ton of amenities right outside of downtown Wimberley. The location is great because it’s quiet but close enough for a 3 minute trip down the road to restaurants and shops. I’d recommend cabin 1/white because your porch with hot tub is very private. Everything was very clean and in excellent condition. I’d definitely stay here again.

We had a great time, Tom was quick to respond when we were booking, the place was great, brought our dogs and had a really nice time. Right on the water and we had fun fishing from the lower level of the yard. Great outdoor grill and dinning area. Would stay again. Location was great and very convenient to everything.

I really enjoyed the stay for my sister’s birthday! We were able to float the river that was right down the road about 5-10 minutes away! The kitchen was beautiful and very nice to cook in! We really loved the backyard, as we utilized the hot tub and projector! Everything was really clean too! Definitely recommend!

As I sit here and write this review I'm comparing my pictures that I took to the pictures of the rental and the more disappointed I'm getting. The pictures are nothing like what is shown for outside. The inside of the house was awesome. As for outside the grass was overgrown. The number of chairs that are shown was way less. Not to mention of the two chairs one was broke. Luckily we brought our own chairs. No corn was provided for the deer. I did reach out about the corn and was told it was in the pantry, but there wasn't any there. If you are not going to enjoy the outdoors and plan on staying inside this house is perfect. I wish there was a way to provide my pictures for reference.

We absolutely loved our stay at Bungalow on the Square in Wimberley. We visit the area several times a year, but this was our first time staying right on the square—and we couldn’t have picked a better place. Your home is beautiful, warm, and perfectly located for everything we enjoy about Wimberley. Everything was perfect. Really enjoyed staying here. The house was perfect for us and quiet. Comfortable. Enjoyed the peacocks in the area and the deer. Host was very friendly and responsive. She gave us some good advice for restaurants. We will definitely come back again. Thanks

We had a great weeklong visit with family here and were very comfortable throughout. Joe recommended some local restaurants that we tried and were pleased with. We did some grocery shopping at Brookshires and made several meals in the cottage and were happy the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare and store our meals. The place was very clean and beds were nice. We would definitely visit again.

Don and Lisel were great hosts and very accommodating to our requests. I would stay here again. Cute, vintage house that matched the listing. Location is great. Within 10 minutes, we were at the Riverwalk center.

What a wonderful little cabin on peaceful land. The cabin has everything you need and is very comfortable. It has a wonderful deck and lush nature with a creek for daily walks with my pup. Their dog was so friendly as well, my little chihuahua made a new east friend. Kristen and Corey are such friendly, gracious, and hospitable hosts I highly recommend a stay here, also only 17 min from downtown Austin. Great location with nature.

We had a wonderful stay at this charming cottage! It was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing visit. The setting was peaceful and private—perfect for unwinding. The host was very responsive and thoughtful, providing clear check-in instructions and great local recommendations. We especially loved JPS Wimberley BBQ—it was delicious! And spending time at the river was truly amazing. We’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

La Grotta was a beautiful stay. The place looked exactly like the photos. The pool and hot tub were an added amenity that my friends and I loved. If I travel back to Wimberley, I would definitely choose this place to stay again!

What a lovely, private retreat at the cottage! Such beautiful and natural surroundings, it was the perfect weekend escape. The cottage was impeccably decorated and was a lovely backdrop to our adventures in Driftwood. We enjoyed it all-a dip in the cowboy pool, drinking wine by the peaceful sounds of the fountain, having our morning coffee on the porch with the hummingbirds and fox family-just what we needed! Don was so kind and responsive. This place is a gem! We will be back for sure!

Such an amazing little gem tucked in the woods! My favorite part was that there were so many deer hanging around the area and it was so peaceful and serene. The lights that turn on at night outside make it seem like a place out of a movie scene. Very responsive and thoughtful hosts!

The cottage is just steps away from the river, which makes for a perfect morning walk and evening to unwind. The Jacuzzi bathtub is relaxing. We had a good time fishing.

My mother and I stayed overnight to attend a nearby concert. The place is gorgeous, you really CAN see for miles and miles! The bed was very comfortable. The house was well appointed. Both Kathy and Wayne were very responsive via text, call, and in person. I would definitely recommend and would stay at their property again the next time I'm in Dripping Springs!

We stayed here while in transition from selling a home out of state and buying one. We needed calm and peaceful surroundings, and Shelly's place did not disappoint! It was so restful and quiet, and the property was beautiful. We saw deer on several mornings, and Shelly's garden was magical at dusk. If you need a break from a fast paced life, this is your place!

We were in town for a wedding and were so lucky to have found this little gem. We can’t say enough good things about the oasis. I was impressed by how clean the house was, especially because they allow dogs. Even though the house is in a neighborhood, it is very secluded, and you can’t even see, or hear the neighbors. The views are breathtaking! We spent every day in the water hole and creek behind the house. Our dogs absolutely loved it! We got lucky that it had rained quite a bit before we got there because the swimming holes were full, and the creek was running fast and clear. We loved the treehouse and 2nd story back deck and utilized both. The floats that were provided were a nice bonus! I would recommend bringing your floats, fishing poles, and water shoes. Emma and Kim were very responsive, helpful and kind. This is a stunning property and I highly recommend anyone and everyone to stay here! Thank you to the Hosts for sharing your lovely home with us, it was a dream!

We loved our visit! We booked to have the wide open space for our dog and the nice river access, and both of those delivered. The river water is clear and deep. When you enter it's fairly shallow, but to the left it's chest deep and to the right and you'll find areas where you can't touch the bottom. Walk left along the bank and you'll reach a spot with a bench on a concrete slab where there are rapids. The area is incredibly serene and private. Highlights were the sunrises/sunsets, sounds of nature, and goats next door! It's about a 20 minute drive to Wimberly which has very nice shops and restaurants. Overall, this is the perfect stay for us and we're already considering a second visit!
