Our family has lived here since 1890, and we have a wonderful guest cottage sitting on the high bank with 180-degree views of Saratoga Passage, Mount Baker, and the North Cascades. With 900 square feet of open living area, a fireplace, full kitchen, washer/dryer, king size bed, high speed internet, 2 TV's, beautiful furnishings and easy access to the beach it's the perfect get-away!

Groomed trails lead to a 100 acre nature preserve managed by our neighbors The Whidbey Institute.

The Courtyard Cottage

Courtyard Cottage is a charmingly restored 1940's fisherman's cottage, which includes an adjacent studio. The Main Cottage contains a bed for 2, bathroom, and kitchen, and the Studio functions as a spacious living room with TV, game table, and sectional. The buildings are surrounded by a fenced courtyard and patio which makes for a relaxing and private getaway. The community beach is just a short walk downhill. The Clinton Ferry is 3 miles away and Langley is a 15-minute drive.

Eagles nest on the property. There is a public beach and boat launch just 2 miles down the road at Freeland Park.

Perfect for one or two people that want to come to Whidbey for work and need a quiet place to sleep at night. Parking in the carport is a bit of a walk over gravel to the studio.Some older people and others not in good shape have hard time loading and unload pulling suitcases thru the gravel.Directv/ basic cable .Pets with host approval.

For babies, the cottage provides a pak n play, booster seat and toys. For adults there is bocce ball and croquet upon request.
