Historic hidden gem, perfect for exploring Exmoor

RichardRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We found Charlotte's place perfect for our walking and sightseeing trip to Exmoor and took advantage of her recommendations for walking and eating out which were spot on.
A serene riverside scene captures a flowing river bordered by smooth stones and greenery. A brown dog, wearing a harness, is seen in the foreground, looking towards charming cottages nestled among trees along the riverbank. Gentle ripples and reflections create a peaceful ambiance.

Cosy 1- Bedroom Retreat in the Heart of Exmoor

HannahRating, 5 stars5 days ago
Amazing bolt hole, close to amenities in the village. Perfect location. Everything was just fabulous. The bedlinen and pillows are perfect and super comfy. We would love to return sometime to experience the surrounding areas, without having to dash off to a shearing course! It’s really easy to find, great explanations and everything needed in a compact and bijoux way. Thank you so much!

Counting Sheep Shepherd Hut

Great spot, loved the hot tub and the thoughtful touches. Very peaceful area. Worth noting for those with mobility issues that parking is down a farm track and you can’t park near the Shepards hut so need to get a lift with Karen/carry luggage and food up the track if she’s not available.

A wonderful stay in the cottage, it really was a home from home! Clean, comfortable and well equipped. Heather and Richard were the perfect hosts. Warm and welcoming and always on hand to answer questions and offer helpful suggestions. The Lemon drizzle cake was absolutely delightful!! The farm was fantastic for our Border collie, Jess with large fields to walk around and the cottage was the perfect base to explore what Devon has to offer. Highly recommended

A Devon escape to relax and enjoy the countryside

DebbieRating, 5 stars6 days ago
Carlas place is nestled within the farming community. Detached annexe and very private with wonderful views of countryside. Friendly and helpful host - excellent local pub less than 5 min walk - wonderful homemade food cooked by owner. Nearest main town is Tiverton about 20 mins away. Accommodation has everything you need and was spotlessly clean. We had a lovely few days there and will definitely go back.
A balcony with a wrought iron railing offers a view of greenery and surrounding hills. Two white chairs are positioned on the terracotta tiled floor, accompanied by a small potted plant. The entrance door stands ajar, leading to the inviting interior.

The Old Chapel - Dulverton

KiraRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We had a great long weekend at the old chapel in Dulverton. The house is very cosy, spacious, clean and bright. The covered balcony is great for sitting outside even in rainy weather. The kitchen is very well equipped with utensils, plenty of pots, pans etc. (the only thing that could be improved here is the provision of a few basics like spices and oil). Dulverton is a cute village with a range of lovely shops and good footpaths around. A great base for exploring Exmoor and the North Devon coast. Very good value for money and would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to visit the area.

No. 1 Stunning Cottage in Dulverton with parking

SammyRating, 5 starstoday
This place was a perfect get away, nice garden, lovely lounge with a cosy wood burner. Shower up stairs and 3 good size bedrooms. We had a fab time here and will stay again. Everything you need, nothing forgotten. Nice welcome pack of goodies too which were very nice, bread and Jams and lovely biscuits. This place was a home from home. Very central to the main part of town, where all the shops pubs and restaurants are. Right near the river and excess to some lovely walks.
