Bungalow vacation rentals in Great Barrier Reef

Jess and Simo were super accommodating and the bamboo shack was the perfect location for our family to get together. If you are looking for peaceful surroundings, beautiful national parks and loads of relaxation then this is the place for you. Oh and the complimentary fresh baked Focaccia bread on arrival was the perfect touch.

The moment we arrived we were greeted with exceptional hospitality. The room along with the view and the grounds make for a magical experience. Just a few steps to the water. Would recommend to anyone looking to have a peaceful romantic stay.

Such a relief to stay somewhere who gets what a family needs whilst travelling, super comfortable beds, great linens, well appointed kitchen and laundry with a drier in this rain a godsend. The extra toilet was great and easy to locate. Lovely village and host went out of her way to make entry late at night easy

The beach house is a beautiful little place to stay. Close to Four mile beach, great kitchen, everything you need is there. Loved the 70’s vibe. Darryl is very responsive and made it all easy. Thank you. Would stay again

Beautiful and convenient spot for a peaceful weekend with kids. Hosts were accommodating and helpful. Definitely would stay here again.

When we first arrived we were greeted by one of the local island residents who showed us to our transport and help unload our belongings from our boat. Our host took us for a drive down to Basil Bay Beach where we dropped off a couple of kayaks to use over the weekend. We then visited the house which had amazing views of Basil Bay to the South West and water views of the channel between Keswick and St Bees island, along with the lush forest views of the island. The house was homely, each room with an ensuite and very kid friendly. The locals were very friendly often greeting our family and even invited us to the local Christmas Corner for a Friday night fish cook up with sunset views. The island lifestyle is very relaxed and secluded with beaches that would rival most, right at your doorstep and without the crowds that would otherwise occupy most places. In Summary we will be back again soon and I highly recommend this accomodation for those looking for a relaxing holiday escape.

John's bungalow is the place I'm always coming back to when in FNQLD. The bungalow is located in the bush full of nature so you can listen to the frogs, geckos and crickets from your bed and watch wallabies from the bathroom window. The place is very clean and comfortable and the owners are some of the frendliest and most helpful people you will meet.
