We had an amazing stay! The cottage was just as described and in the perfect location so we hardly had to use the car at all and were able to walk to Windermere, Bowness and Brockhole with our two girls ( 13 and 8). The use of the nearby pool was an added bonus after a day in the mountains. We’ll definitely be back! 😀

We have just returned from a lovely weekend at Badgers Rest. The home was beautifully clean, had everything we needed and in a great location. The facilities were amazing nearby too.

Absolutely gorgeous place. We loved being on the lake and and having access to it. Vanessa gave loads of recommendations and communicated well. Pictures matched the place. Wouldn't hesitate going back.

House was as described, beautiful setting with wonderful views of the hills and mountains. Rooms are spacious with comfy beds and bathrooms are nicely finished with good showers. Kitchen is a good size and has all required implements. A great location for exploring the central lakes and soaking up all that Ambleside has to offer.

Our family had a lovely stay at Burrowbank at the end of the summer holiday. The house is fantastic with all the facilities you could ask for. The kids loved the swings and most of all the pool, while the covered (heated) BBQ area meant evening meals outside watching the sunset. Great location and setting, very private and we would definitely come again and recommend to others. Martyn and Christine were very helpful and went the extra mile (even posting my daughter’s disposable camera that she left behind). Can’t think of any negatives and we made some great/happy memories.

The Cottage was a great location for exploring the lakes and the area. The site was clean and tidy we used the swimming pool and jacuzzi. The cottage was clean and tidy and easily accessible. We had clear instructions and good communication with the hoards. . We will return beautiful breathtaking location.

Beautiful cottage, lovely surroundings to start our married life! Hot tub appreciated! Easy to get to Keswick too for shopping, food, and exploration. Welcoming bits left for us in cottage appreciated too!

Fabulous stay. House is walking distance to grasmere village and also very close to a number of walks including Easdale Tarn. We had a wonderful stay.

Had a lovely few days at the Gale Lodge Stables! Super cute home with everything you need, really easy check in & lovely host :) It is within quick walking distance to Ambleside with lots of access to nearby walks & hikes! A great place to stay, would love to come back!

We had a great stay at Joseph’s house. Check-in was very easy, the house was very clean and well-equipped with tea, coffee and even dog treats. Beds were really comfy and the place itself was so central. We’d definitely stay here again!

We absolutely loved our stay here. We are a family of 8 people, it is a beautiful house in an amazing location. It was extremely clean, we were overwhelmed by its beauty!! Definitely recommend it we would return soon

Andrew and Donna’s apartment was just what we needed for our long weekend in the Lakes - really nicely finished, very clean and in a great location. They were very helpful with local recommendations and a slightly early check-in too. Would highly recommend and we’ll hopefully be back again.

We’ve always loved the Lake District and are always drawn to Ambleside, so to be based there was ideal. Location is right in town so easy to pop out for breakfast and dinner with just a short walk to many lovely cafes and restaurants. Easy to keep the kids entertained and perfect central location to go out for the day. The house was clean and well presented with all the amenities we needed. Spot on.

We had a wonderful stay at Greenthorn cottage. The cottage itself is beautifully decorated and furnished. It has everything you need including an open fire if needed. The decking area/balcony is wonderful. The best local pub is The Masons Arms which is within walking distance with friendly staff and lovely food. Would love to visit again.

We have just returned home from 4 nights at Julie's ex-guesthouse and we absolutely loved it. We were a group of 5 adults, a 9 year old and 18 month old and there was space for all of us. Each room has its own ensuite and the kitchen is well stocked. The whole place was very clean and the utility room is also massive which helps if you need to do any washing while staying there. We will definitely look to use Julie's place again in the future. Julie replied in good time to any messages and is very friendly. Highly recommend as a great place to get around the Lakes from too.

What a fantastic choice this ended up being. Staveley was absolutely perfect for our family stay with two very young children. The house was everything we needed, spacious, clean, and the beds! - oh my I’ve never had such a good night sleep in all my life!! Parking can get a bit busy outside the house but we always managed to park two cars. The idyllic walk over the footbridge of the river was beautiful and leads to a lovely little village with all you need - More? Bakery was unreal for breakfast, Duffins did amazing coffee, Eagle & Child pub was a great riverside outdoor dinner one evening, Kimis Gelato was the best ice cream at the weekend but they closed for the weekdays which was heartbreaking! The play park was just perfect to keep the kids occupied during those spare hours in the day. The local Spar had all we needed and we popped to Lidl in Kendal for our big food shop. Location was great for all our hikes & days out. I’d up and move from London to Staveley in a heartbeat.

Danes Court House is a beautiful historic building in a fantastic location with stunning views, very secluded. We could not fault anything the cleanliness, whole ambiance of the rooms, decor and quality of the furnishings just beautiful!. Hannah was a great host pleasant and very responsive. One of the best properties we have stayed in. Highly recommendable! Thank you for an amazing stay.

This is our second trip to Julia’s place. It is perfect for exploring the Langdale Valley in the Lake District. Loads of walks from the door, we didn’t use the car for days. Julia left us plenty of stuff for teas and coffees, and it was clean and tidy. Lovely views of the fells and a footpath right from the front door. Ideal. Julia is also great at getting back to you and was really helpful fixing up our holiday.

Debi and Stuart’s accommodation was stunning with beautiful views to match. We felt so at home and everything was in walking distance. We were so lucky to have beautiful weather so we loved being outside in the spacious garden and enjoying the hot tub. Also special touches were made in the lodge as it was my step Dads birthday which I was truly grateful for. We will most definitely be coming back. Thanks again.

5* all the way! Felt right at home and was a lovely place to stay with fantastic views. It was all very very clean! The hot tub picture shows it being under a cover/pergola type thing, however the hot tub at this property was not under covered area like the pictures showed. That is the only thing which was not matched. Everything else was great and couldn’t fault
