Weavers Cottage is a detached 17th century stone built barn at the head of the Ullswater valley in the central Lakes. Foxup House Barn is a converted one bedroom farm building, totally self-contained to the side of our house. It has it's own entrance with private parking space for one vehicle and private walled and fenced garden. It is situated at the end of a no-through road, totally surrounded by hills with stunning views from every window. Newly converted in 2023 we have put much thought and love into the project, aiming to create a warm, comfortable and stylish space, finished to a high standard.

A bright, airy cottage in a converted barn on our small farm near Ullswater. There's plenty of space to spread out and relax with views to the front and rear straight onto the fells capturing sunrises and sunsets alike. Two bedrooms comfortably sleep up to 5 with the large double height kitchen/dining room a perfect space for a larger get-together. The downstairs includes the kitchen, sitting room, a bedroom and the bathroom and has been specifically designed to be wheelchair friendly.

Take a scenic boat trip to Waterhead, Ambleside, Lakeside or hire a rowing boat or electric motorboat. An open top bus trip offers another great way to explore the area.

The River Gowan runs directly outside and there are a variety of stunning walks from the front door. The Servants Wing is situated within the the Stunning and Imposing Claughton Hall. The views from the property over the Lune Valley from an elevated hilltop position are spectacular. The Fenwick Arms gastro pub is a short 12minute walk away at the bottom of the private driveway. Whilst adjoining the main house the accommodation offers a great deal of privacy and includes a separate entrance & private outdoor area.
