It’s quirky and small interior and ladder stairs make it a perfect little base in a quiet area of lovely Ambleside. Ideal for a couple or a 1 person stay. Private parking space. Minimum 3 night stay. Ideal for couples and young families. Completed in 2020, The Byre is one of 3 cottages in our old stone barn near Ullswater in the Lake District. Thornythwaite Farm is in Matterdale which is a peaceful valley off the beaten track but with great access to all the popular areas of the Lakes. There are plenty of walks from the door and a good pub, The Royal, is just a short stroll down the road.
