Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Grand Isle County

This place was exactly what my family needed for a lowkey getaway - with a private dock large enough for everyone to fish, and clear waters with nice flat rocks for the kids to skip. We would book again in a heartbeat

On our last day we saw a spectacular sunset which was indicative of our whole stay. The star was of course the wonderful setting on the lake. It was enhanced by how tastefully the house was renovated, decorated and fully supplied with everything we needed. It truely exceeded our expectations and made for a memorable experience in the beautiful state of Vermont.

We had a great stay at Peter’s - it’s a beautiful piece of property right on the water with stunning views from inside and out. Place was very clean and had all the amenities listed plus some. Peter was a very responsive and accommodating host. There are a few restaurants, stores, and a state park nearby (short drive) and not too far from areas such as Burlington and Waterbury. The family had a great time fishing, playing in the large yard & on the sandy beach area, and roasting s’mores over the fire pit in the evening. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice, relaxing getaway!

We had a lovely stay at Molly's house on the lake. The area is rural and beautiful; we spent days kayaking, cycling to nearby islands, and just sitting on the back patio enjoying the lake. Molly was responsive and friendly.

My family and I had a beautiful stay at Cassie‘s home. We enjoyed the paddle boards, the kayaks, the hot tub, and the game room to the maximum. I would absolutely recommend this home to others.

Gorgeous peaceful accommodations on the gut. We were there to enjoy the sunsets while escaping the hustle and bustle…and we had everything we needed! Thank you so much for the opportunity! We highly recommend the property to anyone looking to enjoy the best of Champlain Islands.

We loved our stay at Caitlin’s lake house in Alburgh. The views of Lake Champlain were amazing. Great sunset viewing every night. Comfortable living space & beds. Lots of space. Amazing “breakfast nook” in kitchen. The dock & outdoor furniture were so nice! We spent almost 2 full weeks here & definitely recommend this quiet lakefront house to others. We were in the area to explore all of the Vermont/Federal land & wildlife areas. Hiking, swimming, birding, hunting, fishing, all are at your fingertips or close by. Alburgh is a nice small town and was a great home-base for our explorations.

Beautiful location with plenty of room and everything you could need for a peaceful stay. Host is extremely accommodating and responsive.

The best Airbnb we've encountered among many trips to Burlington. An attractive, neat, clean accommodation with many amenities. Excellent for the price, leaving little to be desired except for those personality quirks in the way one lives at home that no host could know. Clear, complete, yet simple communications. Highly recommended.

Audrey’s Porcupine Farm Barn was the perfect place for us and our pup to get some respite from our day to day grind. With scenic vistas outside our window the space was an ideal blend of rustic and comfortable, and Audrey was around to answer any questions and assist us whenever we needed. We would absolutely stay again - and hopefully will soon!

Brian’s place was great. What set it apart were the personal touches. Arriving to a fresh baked loaf of sourdough bread and tons of snacks and drinks was a huge plus after a long day of travel! It’s located in a quiet neighborhood and a short drive to most anything you’d want to do. The apartment was clean and beds were comfy. Plenty of games and coloring supplies for the kids to use as well. The AC setup is not ideal for keeping the 2nd bedroom cool, but the one in the master bedroom worked well. Bill who owns the property and lives next door was sure to welcome us upon arrival and offered help with anything we may need. I’d definitely recommend staying here for your time in Colchester.

Had a relaxing stay after a long day riding. The loft was lovely and welcoming with plenty to do. The owners friendly dog Rio is the best greeter I've meet, showing us the property and creek.

I came to visit with my family of 4 and my dog. The 3 rooms, kitchen, and living area were more than enough for us. We had a wondeful stay and really enjoyed our time here!

Our stay at Jackie's place was awesome. It was just as advertised and very comfortable. Great location, short drive to restaurants. We would stay here again if in the area. Jennifer

We had a great holiday weekend in Charlotte at Robert's apartment. It was close to the mountains we wanted to climb and a nature preserve where we skied. Close to Burlington and Middlebury where we found dinner each night. The apartment is cozy and comfortable; really a delightful place. We also met Robert who was funny and the perfect host. We stayed during a massive winter storm that dumped so much snow on the area and Robert was always very interested in making sure we could get out of the driveway! There were also thoughtful snacks and what not for us when we arrived which is such a nice bonus. We will definitely check to see if the apartment is available the next time we come to VT. Thank you so much, Robert! We hope to stay with you again soon.

The house is very cute and the beach access is amazing. The hose is nice, gave clear instructions. This is located close to Burlington and offers plenty of things to do when away :)

We stayed for the Father's Day fishing derby. The location was perfect. There's a boat launch a quarter mile away and we were able to pull the boat right up to the shore at the cabin. Overall it was exactly what we were looking for and we'll look to stay there again!

Exactly as described, very clean. Check in process super easy. The area is within driving distance of Burlington and even Stowe. The place was absolutely beautiful, bed was incredibly comfortable. Perfect place to come back to after a day of exploring Vermont on our weekend away. Highly recommend.

Our stay at Camp Rousseau was exactly what we needed—a peaceful, nature-filled escape from the chaos of everyday life. Marilyn and Dick are incredible hosts—warm, thoughtful, and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The cabin itself is cozy, clean, and full of charm. You can really feel the care and love that’s gone into this place over the years. We enjoyed hiking the nearby trails, relaxing by the fire pit, and spending quiet mornings on the porch with coffee in hand. The dog beach nearby was a bonus for our pups—they had the time of their lives! And the homemade cookies waiting for us when we arrived? Total grandma-level perfection. WiFi worked great too, which was a nice surprise in such a remote and peaceful spot. Most importantly—this trip will forever hold a special place in our hearts, as it’s where we got engaged! It was the perfect setting: just us, the dogs, the sounds of nature, and the people we love most back home cheering us on

We stayed in this wonderful cottage as two college friends (now middle-aged) who wanted a quiet, peaceful place to relax and catch up after not seeing each other for a long time. Everything was incredibly clean and tidy, with a responsive and proactive host! The beds and linens were so comfortable. Parking and signage was easy. Things to keep in mind: the bedrooms share a wall, and the bathroom is nice but very modest in size. (While it was fine for two relatively average women, the men in my family are 6’7” and broad; they never would have fit in this bathroom.) Would absolutely recommend!

We had a visual. visit in the area and Shane's place was just what we needed to recharge and relax . The cabin is well equipped and cozy. Comfy beds too!

Last minute change in our trip plans and it was well worth it, allowed us to check in early, very responsive, fun cozy spot to spend the night!
