Beachfront vacation rentals in Grand Isle County

We rented "The Point" and it was perfect for our needs. The lake is only steps away!! The views of the sunrise, sunset and the stars were beautiful. We only stayed for a long weekend and we were wishing we had planned for an entire week. If you need a place to unwind and regroup, and you like a rustic feel...this is the place.

We chose this camp because it was on the center line of totality for the 2024 eclipse. Neither the camp nor the eclipse disappointed! The camp is on the shore of Lake Champlain. The sunsets on the lake were incredible. Because we were there so early in the season there was no one in the neighboring cabins. It was so peaceful and quiet. Fabien was a great host. He adapted to our travel changes and met us at the camp when we arrived. He had already lit the wood stove. The camp has sulphur smelling water but Fabien provided us with about 7 gallons of bottled spring water to get us started. We thoroughly enjoyed our visits to Saint Albans, Burlington and Grand Isle. Don’t miss Niquette Bay State Park. They have many enjoyable and scenic hiking trails. They are moderately challenging with some elevation change and rocks and roots but nothing requiring specialized gear. Devyn’s Creemees was great! Lines out into the parking lot every evening for maple soft ice cream. Yum!

It is a great place right on the water. Beautiful views...... with beautiful sunrises. Too bad we were there at the wrong time of year (No fault of Anna's). We had one beautiful day we sat out on the deck and enjoyed the sun and the lake. Watched and listened to loons and other wildlife. Property is centrally located for our needs. Shopping a couple of days down in Burlington. And, A nice drive to check out waterfalls and explore near and around Whiteface Mountain in NY. (Jay, Wilmington, Lake Placid) Also because of the time of year quite a few restaurants and attractions were closed. One great restaurant we found was Green Mountain Bistro. Excellent food and drinks. Property definitely needed some winter clean up. House could use some more TLC. All in all it was a great Cozy-Relaxing week. Thank you Anna!!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our week at the camp. It was such a beautiful, peaceful, and idyllic setting where we could walk, hike, enjoy the sunsets and fire pit, and relax on the the screened in porch. It was a great base for a couple of day trips as well short drives to St. Albans and the Burlington area for dining. Everything was very well done and as advertised.

Charles was a very good host. The cleaning crew did not show up, but we were notified in advance and it was cleaned personally by his son. The vacuum didn’t work so the floors weren’t clean, but other than that it was a great stay! This location is so charming and is close enough to Burlington to go over for the day/night to explore!

We had a wonderful stay at the Shore Thing Cottage. The cottage is very clean, the area is gorgeous, very quiet and private. Thank you for accommodating our 2 dogs and husband very much enjoyed fishing in the crystal clear lake. We didn’t get the chance to try the pancake mix and maple syrup…maybe next time…

Chris's place is really nice with a beautiful environment. We felt very good as a family celebrating Christmas there. Chris is very responsive and always ready to help

We were so delighted with our stay at this property: the place is clean and comfortable with homey touches, the view is stunning and there are so many lovely places to walk and enjoy nature in the area. Betsy was a delightful host. She was easy to communicate with and very responsive. She had great recommendations for local places to go, including where to cold plunge (right out the back door!) and where to enjoy Halloween activities with kids. This property is great with family or as a romantic getaway. The photos of sunsets over the lake are no exaggeration. Would definitely stay there again!

We’re so grateful to have spent a week in Vermont at Margaret’s home. Isle La Motte is such a special place and what a great spot to experience Vermont’s natural beauty and Lake Champlain. The property is spectacular with mature trees and rugged coastline, complete with a large dock that’s perfect for swimming and fishing. We caught 7 different species of fish right from the dock. We witnessed Osprey, Eagle, Loons and Merganser on a daily basis! The house is perfect for a group of 8 to 10 with plenty of room to spread out both indoors and outdoors with lots of seating. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to cook and 2 grills, the large Cuisinart griddle was fun to use for everything from breakfast to homemade pizza! The kayaks and water toys were also great and everything was provided to use them safely. This was our first trip to Vermont and we loved every minute, which is very easy at a place like this! Easily one of the best vacation spots and Airbnb’s!

Ana's cottage was a perfect place to get away for a weekend. I had a destination wedding and when I told people the price and the fact they provided a canoe and kayaks because it was located on the water there were in shock because their hotel room was double the price. Definitely would stay there again if I ever travel that way.

Beautiful location and great house. Hard to beat a private, fenced in yard on the water for dogs and small children.

My wife and I stayed for an entire month. The cottage is super nice and very private. The host responded immediately to the power going out in a storm and one other minor issue. We highly recommend this rental and would stay there again anytime.

Million dollar view of the lake. Everything you could need to enjoy. All essentials provided and then some. Truly a lovely house and area. Casa capitano Italian restaurant in town is out of this world fantastic.

Perfect Perfect Perfect!! Our large contingent wanted to spend time together while on Grand Isle for a family wedding. We could not have found a more perfect spot than 29 West Shore. Large enough but also homey, we could gather together or spread out easily. The home seemed to hug us and/or expand as needed. A beautiful view and plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy it. The kitchen is well equipped with open space across the counter to chat with folks at the table. I could go on and on, we certainly hope to return. Thank you Susan!!

We loved everything about our stay. Montreal, Burlington and Stowe are all within an hour or so's reach. There's kayaks to use and the sunsets on the dock are spectacular. There's lots of hiking nearby and there's a great beach at Alburgh Dunes State Park about 15 minutes away. Kraemer & Kin brewing is on the way back from the beach too!! The cottage is extremely clean and the kitchen is well appointed. All made for an extremely comfortable stay. We hope to come back some day.

Thank you, Palmer for an enjoyable stay at your beautiful lake house. We came up for a college tour of UVM and the location was perfect. It took us only 20 minutes to get there and then at the end of our day we came back to relax and unwind at your comfy and spotless home. Every room was beautifully furnished , comfortable and really just felt homey. The kids enjoyed hanging out downstairs watching movies while the adults enjoyed cocktails and talking all while taking in the amazing view of the lake. We had a wonderful time and would certainly return. Only two minor issues, one of which just might have been our own unfamiliarity with the home. The living room gets really warm and even though we turned down the thermostat, it kept creeping up. But it could have even been the fact that it was so sunny one of the days we were there. A minor issue. Outside, the railing to get down from the deck to the yard is a bit wobbly in places and may be due to be replaced soon. Also, no big deal.

Place is clean and modern. View is amazing. Bruce and Virginia are great to work with. Only drawback is the close proximity of the road. Not comparing value to only Vermont so possibly unfair but when compared to other places in the US as well as multiple other countries it could be a better value. We enjoyed our stay.

Staying at the Lakeshore drive cottage was delightful even though it was too cold in early April to go out on the water with any of the many available boats. The fireplace on the porch let us sit out and look over the water even in the chill, and the great chairs and fireplace setup by the water let us watch the sky change colors in the evenings. The house was clean and lovely, with windows everywhere. The hosts were responsive when we had an urgent question, and the house itself had even more amenities than were listed on Airbnb. A lovely week long stay through sun and rain and snow. Minutes away from the Colchester Island trail, and the Burlington greenway and many beaches above and below Burlington. Minutes from Winooski as well, and only 45 minutes’ drive to Waterbury, with Stowe a few minutes down the road. Highly recommend.

Exactly as described in advertisement with the exception of the view from the front balcony and living room -- it is BETTER than described and expected! This a repeat for the future.

We had a wonderful long weekend on Mallet’s Bay! The house was amazing with tons of amenities, private beach, large kitchen. Plenty of room for the five of us. Brian was an exceptional host and gave great local recommendations! All in all we had an incredible stay!

Our second year renting Jeff’s place and it was just as great as the previous. As always, Jeff is a responsive host and is very timely in getting back to us. The house is still great, a few new updates were nice like the new stove. And like previous year, you can’t beat the views! 5/5 thanks Jeff and Family!
