Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Grand Island

Across the lake from Buffalo, around the corner from Old Fort Erie, and right beside the Niagara walkway, this house sits in a superb location. It feels tucked away and serene--like a home in cottage country--yet is 5 minutes drive from anything you want: grocery stores, drugstores, restaurants and the Niagara Peninsula and Toronto beyond. It's a great home base, and one that actually feels like home, with a well-appointed kitchen, plenty of outdoor and indoor seating space, three bathrooms, and relaxed, tasteful decor. We found everything we needed in the house and appreciated the quality of any appliances, large and small. Watching the spectacular sunsets light up the Buffalo skyline and listening to the multitude of songbirds in the area are a couple of the quiet pleasures this location offers. Accessing the walking trail just a few steps away is another. If in the area again, we'd definitely return to this lakehouse for a welcoming, comfortable experience!

We had a wonderful and comfortable stay at Adam’s place! The house is lovely and clean and was very spacious for us four adults. It was the perfect location for visiting Niagara Falls, as it’s an easy 20-minute drive away.

Great spot on a quiet street close to Elmwood Ave. with lots of restaurants and small businesses. Ibrahim was friendly and responsive throughout.

Molly’s house is very cute and clean and in a great location. We were in town to see family and the house was in a central location for our visit and the many activities the location has to offer. I would definitely recommend this house to friends and family.

Alex was very responsive. The house was easy to find. The host helped us find additional parking on another street due to having three vehicles and a trailer. The house was very clean. It was a very quick drive to the falls!

We stayed at Lisa's place for my son's graduation this weekend and everything was better than we could imagine. The house and surroundings were beautiful. The house was extremely clean and we felt right at home when we stepped inside. Lisa provided so many amenities and she left a very sweet note and chocolates. We loved staying here. Anyone who wants to visit Buffalo definitely needs to stay at this amazing house.

The house is perfect, decorated cute. Quiet neighborhood, close to great restaurants and so much to do in Tonawanda. Loved it.

We were in the area for a reunion weekend. Very familiar w/the area, having lived there long ago. Linda's location provided us easy access to all the reunion activity happenings around Amherst, Snyder, Williamsville, Buffalo and more. Directions to her place, how to gain entrance, and more helpful information re: how to use and access everything once we were inside were well written and easy to understand. And we were very grateful that Linda was quick to respond to any and all of our questions or concerns immediately. Our stay was very comfy, and we couldn't have asked for a better hostess! FYI: all the animals that we saw parading through the yard every morning was like watching the Disney movie "Bambi" ;) We definitely recommend staying at her place to any/all folks planning to visit WNY.

A truly fantastic stay! Frank and Zoltan’s attention to detail shines through from their gorgeous home, to their detailed instructions, to the homey atmosphere they created for check in. A beautiful home, and great pool. Very close walk to Clifton Hill and you can see the fireworks over the falls from the backyard. I would definitely recommend!

I loved this house - we’ve had more than 50 Airbnb stays over 10 years, and this is among my top favourites. Stephen has thought of everything you might need, the house is very spacious, and the bathroom is something special! We used it as a base to visit Niagara Falls, and it was an easy 25 minute drive. Thoroughly recommend!

We loved staying at Laurie’s! It was a beautiful space, clean and spacious, with everything we needed. The bed in the main bedroom was extremely comfortable. Very convenient off the 290 and close to everything we needed to access for this trip. The neighborhood was very nice and walkable. We had no issues with outside noise, but we appreciated the two white noise machines that were provided. There are tenants upstairs, so there was the usual amount of noise that comes with sharing a house with others, but we had no issues with that, having lived in our own duplexes over the years. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you, Laurie!

Overall I enjoyed my stay and little to no issues arose. Only slightly concerning incident was I broke out in an allergic reaction — contact dermatitis — which might have been from an antigen within the linens provided. I don’t usually have allergies so I’m not sure what the specific trigger could be and thus am unable to confirm if that was the source for sure or what specifically caused it, but my doctor suggested that that may be the origin of my reaction since I didn’t change any skin care routines or come into direct contact with unfamiliar substances/objects other than bed sheets provided by the Airbnb. No complaints otherwise, just a fair warning I thought I should put out there for those who may have those sensitivities or a weakened immune system.

This place is adorable and has everything you need- amenities, location and the cutest deck! It was perfect for what we needed! This will be our go-to Airbnb our next visit! Definitely a 10! ⭐️

Albert’s place was great! Very spacious, rooms look just as pictured, clean rooms and was decorated very nicely. (Although we had to put most of them up so our 1 year old wouldn’t break anything 😂) they provided a pack n play as we requested which was great. would stay again for sure

The space was very clean, host responsive, nice area. Perfect stay!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The space is much bigger than it appears in photos and we appreciated the privacy of having our own place to retreat back to after a long days spent exploring Elmwood Village and Allentown. Very comfortable beds, great kitchen and tons of interesting books and games (including a dartboard!). Thanks for being great hosts and we look forward to returning the next time we visit Buffalo.

My wife and I stayed at The Eugene for a couple nights on our trip to Niagara Falls. This is a great little spot just outside of town. Close enough to be a 5 minute drive from the falls, but far enough to where you weren’t in the craziness of the downtown area.

I had a wonderful stay at Mary’s place! I was in town for a work trip and felt right at home. The space was clean with a very spacious backyard. Not too far from Niagara Falls, restaurants, shopping and other things to do. Mary was very friendly, and always quick to respond. I would highly recommend this place, and look forward to returning when I’m back in town!

I enjoyed my stay here! The place was clean and pleasant. The bed was comfortable. There’s a private parking lot in the back for guests which was very nice so I didn’t have to park in the street. I would stay here again!

The apartment is conveniently located just minutes from the Falls, but away from all the main traffic and congestion. It was fantastic and made it easy to do all the things we planned. There were lots of other AirBnbers in the area and the community felt incredibly safe, well kept, and easily accessible. This is a great choice.
