This is a quirky, charming Irish cottage near Goleen in the heart of West Cork. Close to magnificent beaches, restaurants, west cork trails, Mizen head, water sports and many other activities. With the most beautiful vistas and the village of Goleen within a couple of minutes drive. The cottage is situated on private grounds near my house where i grow vegetables and keep chickens. This property would be suitable for a couple, family with kids that can sleep on a loft or a writers retreat.

Myself and my friends came for a relaxing stay in west cork and that is exactly what we got. Beautiful surroundings and furnishings in the home with ample space for the 8 of us. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub in the evening time! Brian is a fabulous host and was really helpful and made checking in and out a breeze. A fabulous bank holiday weekend!

Beautiful House Above Barleycove Beach

We had a wonderfull time in Illian's house. The house was very cosy, very well equiped with an amazing view. We occupied all the beds and there was still a perfect amount of space for all all of us to feel confortable. It is also a very good location to exolore this part of West Cork, Mizen head (windy and impressive in winter !), Dunlough Castle, the very nice villages of Goleen and Schull, Crookhaven and all the beaches around starting by Barleycove of course ! We have spent an epic winter week, walking around all day, and coming back to a very nice wood fire at night. I would definetly recommand the experience ! The communication with Illian was very easy and he's always been very reactive and helfull !

Goleen home on Wild Atlantic Way

We spent the June bank holiday weekend at Joes house “journeys end”. It was so great to stay in a cosy and comfortable lived in house as opposed to all the dull holiday rentals on Airbnb in Ireland. The house was perfect for our family of 5 and the surroundings, garden and kitchen are even better than they look in the photos. It’s only a stones throw from Goleen which has everything you need, including a couple of food options, a cafe, basic shop and of course a few great pubs. Communication with Joe was easy and the house really felt like a home with lots of little homemade and personal touches. It is the perfect place to base oneself for a few days on Mizen head and we will definitely be back.

The house was superb - way bigger and nicer than we expected. Spotlessly clean on arrival and lovely modern space with two living areas so great for children and adults or families sharing loads of space. A real piece of luxury in a fab location short drive to beach and walk to town with fab coffee and treats and local for a drink. we loved our stay! would definately stay again!

This a most beautiful. quiet place to stay. There are some lovely walks from the cottage and the sunset view over the water of Dunmanus Bay is always worth watching. The space is lovely, bright and cosy. When we were there, it was too warm to light the stove. We were able to enjoy sitting out in a lovely private garden. Our host was charming and kind, always available but never intrusive.

Charles’ house is fantastic for a family holiday. It is very comfortable and a great size for a family group with plenty of space for socialising and playing outside. The bedrooms are all a good size and en suite which is great for privacy. The location is lovely and peaceful with the village a short walk away. Lots to do in the area. We will be back for sure!

Had a beautiful stay in crookhaven. Easy to find the house and check in was super easy with all information from Jason. Everything we needed was available to us in the house. The village is right on your doorstep and a great base for exploring west cork. Will definitely be back.

This cottage could not be better if it's peaceful your after with beautiful scenery this is the place. The cottage interior was beautiful the art work was local and so beautiful to enjoy. Everything about this property was just fantastic we had an amazing 4 days totally chilled out . Out side at night is spectacular the quiet is breathtaking. Rosemary was a fantastic host everything was so easy and she gave us some great local knowledge. I would highly recommend this place without hesitation I will most definitely be back . Thank you very much Rosemary
