Cosy countryside home with a modern design

SharonRating, 5 stars3 days ago
The property is beautiful and exquisite in design. Large TV’s in every room and all mod-cons. There is plenty of space for 4 adults to move around. There are also plenty of little extras in the kitchen like condiments and spices, tea, coffee etc. There is a large gas BBQ that we used and a fire pit in the centre of a large table. Fortunately one of us thought to bring wood as there wasn’t any provided and it’s such a lovely feature to have a blazing fire late at night whilst drinking & having good conversation. Maybe it’s an idea for the host Ash to either provide wood or to make note on the booking that guests are to provide their own. The pub next door is also really nice. I honestly didn’t want to leave and would say that a one night stay is not enough. My only negative would be that as check-in is not until 4pm & check-out is 10am that when you consider maybe 7 hours sleep you’re not actaully getting much time to enjoy the place especially if like us you go out for a few hours.

Chert Cottage, Great Longstone, Bakewell Peak Dist

AndrewRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had a lovely, long weekend stay at Chert cottage. Great Longstone is an excellent location, with several pubs within walking distance. Beautiful scenery is on the doorstep, with places like Bakewell and Buxton a short drive away. Sarah was an excellent host - she was very responsive and we really appreciated the cake, milk and flowers on arrival. Chert cottage itself was great - very clean and equipped with everything you could possibly need - we particularly loved sitting out in the garden in the evening! Many thanks Sarah, we had a great time.

Kizzie’s place is absolutely gorgeous and was perfect for my husband and I. Didn’t need the car at all and the centre is just a few minutes walk away. Lots of bars, cafes, restaurants to choose from and lovely little shops to browse in. We went to the cinema too which is a few minutes walk away and had a lot of character. Beautiful surroundings, lovely walks down the canal or sit in Kissie’s garden. Bed was so comfy and we slept so well. We will definitely visit again. Thank you!

Hope Cottage

SarahRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Great little cottage which me and my daughter stayed at for 2 nights to break up our drive from Edinburgh to Essex. Clean and tidy. Garden was cute but unfortunately the weather wasn’t kind Tony’s. We did manage to drive to Mam Tor and walk up and then went to Buxton. We did visit the Olive tree too in the village.

Peak District, Chinley, sleeps 5, has 3 bedrooms

LynneRating, 5 starstoday
Chinley is a great village to use as a base to explore the surrounding Peak District. There are some lovely walks from the front door. These are all recommended and described in detail by Lisa & Jon in the welcome pack . There’s even colour coordinated maps . The accommodation is bright , clean and ideal for families and small groups . As two adults we found the bunks uncomfortable BUT I Suppose that’s to be expected 😁 We had a delicious dinner in the “Old Hall” and listened to live music on the Monday evening too. Totally recommend! Be warned : local venues seem to be closed on Tuesday !!! Most impressive is the friendly , kind & Speedy response from Lisa and John who jumped into action when the lock seized and we were locked out . Ending with John up a ladder to a bedroom window. Such lovely people!

Large, stylish luxury 2 bed garden flat

ElisabethRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We were visiting Buxton for 2 shows at the Opera House & the apartment is perfectly placed for this, being just a few minutes walk away, also the Pavilion Gardens and loads of places to eat & drink. Apartment is beautifully furnished and very well-equipped with pretty, sunny little cottage-style garden to front. The main bedroom is lovely, really comfortable bed. Our friend stayed in the basement bedroom and did comment that it was cold BUT he was very warm and comfortable once in bed. Wish we had stayed longer, if only to take advantage of the huge selection of dvds and books 😊. Thankyou, Heather, Kim and Lorna for a really great (too short) stay.

Mike's place was perfect for our 3 night trip to the Colne Valley. The farm shop just across the road and pub a short walk away were very handy. The place was very clean and had everything we needed, and we felt really comfortable as soon as we walked through the front door. Would lo e to come back and explore the area more.

We loved our stay at Gina’s and hope to come back sometime soon. Hebden Bridge is a friendly, charming village - so lovely - and Gina’s place above her fused glass studio is so pretty and filled with light and pops of color. We could walk all over, including in a nearby park and along the river. Thank you, Gina!

Had an amazing time at Holmdene in the Peak District. was perfectly located for all the walking and trips/tours we wanted to do in Castleton. Charlotte & Stuart were wonderful hosts who greeted us warmly on arrival and Charlotte gave us a detailed chat on all the walks we could do tho we didn't get to experience all of them in our short stay due to weather. We had a lovely evening in the pod with friends and we felt very at home in the apartment which was spotless and well equipped for all our needs and we would highly recommend Holmdene to anyone looking to stay in Castleton. we will definitely be back for more visits. Large country house and garden 4 bed• 3 bath

AndyRating, 5 stars21 months ago
My family and I (7 adults & 1 child) recently stayed at ‘The Cottage’ and we all agreed that it was a wonderful holiday. The house is beautiful, very spacious, spotlessly clean and was well equipped for all of our needs. The hub is definitely the kitchen, we enjoyed playing family board games around the dining table. The gardens are amazing we loved watching wild rabbits, squirrels and cows everyday. It was nice to see home grown vegetables and a herb garden too. Our grandson enjoyed playing football with his dad in the garden, jumping on the trampoline and feeding the fish. It is ideally located for travelling into York and not far from the designer outlet. Our group ranged in age from 2yrs to 78yrs and there was something for everyone to do at the house. We all really needed a family break due to recent illness and enjoyed spending time together making lovely memories. We hope to be able to stay again and thank both Neil and Adrienne for sharing their beautiful home with us.

Beautiful 'Mayfield' Villa with private pool!

MatthewRating, 5 stars4 months ago
We stayed here for a weekend away as a group of school mates all turning 30. The property was the perfect base for us, providing us with the best possible experience. We’re an active, activity based bunch and this stay had something for everyone. Multiple activities, from the pool table, darts board, table tennis, air hockey, and yes the Pool and Sauna. Many of my friends couldn’t believe just what we had found for this stay. Private use of the pool is a great bonus. All beds were made, fresh linens and towels provided. We used the kitchen to cook our breakfast each morning. There’s ample parking for 3-4 vehicles inside and plenty on street right next to the property, which is a quiet street so not a stress. Whilst the decor is aged, we are not particular on this and found it added to the charm. Plenty of beds, bathrooms and spots to relax. We would stay again! The host was fantastic in communication and response to questions posed and made the whole process easy.
A modern living area features a sleek, curved sofa in a neutral tone, set against a backdrop of light walls. A round tabletop with a flower arrangement sits nearby, while warm lighting fixtures hang above. An open archway leads to an adjacent space.
