Newly renovated two bedroom cottage in the peaks. Sitting on the trans Pennine trail, Longdendale trail and near to the Pennine way, it’s ideally located for walkers and cyclists. Backing onto a little wooded area and 5 reservoirs, it’s a perfect location for a holiday in the countryside. There are two double bedrooms and a double sofa bed in the lounge. We very much enjoyed our stay at this quaint little cottage. It was very clean, well equipped and true to the photos on Airbnb. Ben was very prompt when we had a small issue and very quickly sorted the issue. Lots of lovely walks nearby and easy access to the Peak District. We found a lovely restaurant a 15 minute walk away called Finlay’s - cannot recommend enough. Convenience store literally 2 mins away and Holmfirth a short drive or within walking distance.

The cottage has everything you need including a great welcome pack of provisions which was much appreciated. Lovely comfortable bed and pillows. Sian is a lovely host, who is very easy to get ahold of and left us a lot of things to use. She also had a very easy set of instructions on how to use everything and everything was very clear and laid out nicely. She had also provided us with an itinerary of things we could do local to us if we wanted. Overall 10/10 experience I highly recommend.

We had a great stay at Helen's house. The cottage is ideally located in the town centre, within short walking distance of restaurants, pubs and shops. Helen, the host,is a very responsible and friendly person. We had a small issue with cleaning which was sorted out within 20 minutes, and Helen also covered our tea bill as compensation. What a legend! Thank you !

Peaceful Peak District Sanctuary

Where do I start with this review? Chris is one of the most genuine, caring and wonderful people you will ever meet! He saved us from a horrific amount of stress whilst holidaying in Mexico! For some background we had to move out of our home just before going due to an internal soil pipe leak and had been living between parents and hotels just before our family holiday of a lifetime. Whilst we were away the insurers and loss adjustors agreed signed off for a long stay or let meaning we then had to try and find somewhere whilst we were on the other side of the world! I dropped Chris a message and just WOW… What a guy, if it wasn’t for him we’d have likely ruined what remained of our holiday. His place is stunning, so homely and in a beautiful location - everything you need on your doorstep with the most incredible host! It is not a shock Chris carries a 5 Star rating and it is well and truly deserved, do not hesitate and book or reach out! You won’t be disappointed, thanks Chris! 🫶
