Cottage vacation rentals in Glen Ellen

We’re very familiar with the surrounding area and this home is classic to the Russian River vibe. It’s easy to access Jenner Highland preserve, Armstrong woods and river activities. We found the listing to be accurate and very clean. We did not access the small secondary building but appreciated the hot tub. We also were glad we left our dog at home as there is no grass on the property and several stairs to navigate. It would certainly work for some dogs, but not ours was quite large. We did appreciate David’s immediate response to our request to edit our reservation when we decided not to bring our dog; excellent communication!

This is a charming place, beautifully kept with lovely furnishings. We really enjoyed the well appointed kitchen as we cooked every day. The yard and gardens are beautifully kept, peaceful and serene. Oranges growing right outside the house! We were in town for a wedding, and Santa Rosa is right in the middle of so many enjoyable things to do. We hiked on the CCT out past Bodega Bay, enjoyed restaurants in Healdsburg, visited the redwoods and shopped at the Barlow in Sebastopol. Thank you Cheryl for sharing your lovely home. We had a fabulous time!

We absolutely loved our stay at the cottage! The hosts, Lynn and John, were friendly and welcoming. We brought our baby and they left out a booster seat, child plates/bowls, toys, and made up the crib for him! We were able to do a barrel tasting, which was fantastic! We loved the hot tub and the garden. Wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the corn hole and fire pit! Will have to come back!

What a beautiful place to stay! It has everything you need and is steps away from Sonoma Plaza , full of fun shopping and dining! The host was so nice and everything was very clear and easy. We will definitely be back!

My family and I had an enjoyable weekend stay at Peter’s cottage. The location was beautiful and home was cozy. The kitchen had everything we needed and I appreciated a clean porta-crib that was provided.

Karen's place was amazing! It looks beautiful in the photos and even better in real life. It's so peaceful—we saw deer and foxes from the balcony. The wonderful view from the hot tub is also so nice. It's one of the best Airbnbs we've stayed in. Location, privacy, size, etc, everything was perfect. Highly recommended!

We had a great time at The Cottage. It is well described in the listing, the place is a great place to chill and enjoy, especially the patio. It has everything you need (the listing mentions no stove but between all the other amenities and grill you can cook most things), is clean and very comfortable. The continental breakfast and cooking basics is a nice touch. We really liked our time there.

Our group of three stayed here for a night to enjoy a vineyard experience before making our way to Yosemite. The cottage was clean and well maintained and the hosts were extremely responsive.

Linda is a great host. Cares about her guests. She had the room set to be cool upon arrival. The room is spacious and pleasantly comfortable. The Friday farmer's market is an easy walk, just down the street. Quiet neighborhood.

Our family enjoyed our stay at Sarah’s place. Access to the river was a very short walk from the home. The house was clean and clear of clutter.

It was a really nice stay for me and my two dogs. Extremely nice family, and nice quiet & private place. It was unlike most Airbnb’s in that everything in the interior had a personal touch, it was fully stocked to cook, every possible need, both to cook inside & out. Most AirBnB’s have a bit of an “IKEA” feel, this felt like a true guest house, decorated, quality furniture, extremely clean. The drive in was beautiful, and the unit was great to stay in.

My husband and I (along with our 6 month old and our dog) enjoyed a perfect Fathers Day/Birthday weekend at Dennis's cottage! The location couldn't be better - so easy to grab provisions or a quick bite around the corner at the general store, and amazing to be able to walk to the beach in just a few minutes. The cottage is cozy - just the right size for two adults and a dog - with everything you need. Having a washing machine was extra convenient, and the balcony and fire place made for relaxing evenings. We love Dillon Beach and are so happy we found this place! Don't hesitate to book :)

I had the very BEST stay at Mark's place! Everything about the stay was magical - the cottage was quaint and lovely, surrounded by redwoods. Mark's hospitality was of the very best I have seen...he was so kind, helpful and caring and lovely to talk with during the stay. He cares so much and wants to make sure his guests have the best experience. And wow the baked goods are incredible! This was the best mini retreat I could have imagined..I will definitely be back!

We absolutely loved our stay at Valerie’s place! I truly can’t say enough good things about it. The place itself was perfect for us. The kitchen and bathrooms were so well appointed, everything was absolutely spotless, the beds were comfortable, and it was wonderful to have a private backyard. Valerie was so responsive and kind. She thought of absolutely everything, and we were so grateful for her flexibility with our checkout time. We will definitely be coming back!

In a word - delightful! We very much enjoyed the back deck and patio with morning and afternoon sun, a relaxing yard with views of the river, osprey, swallows and even deer. The kitchen was very well equipped with high quality appliances/utensils/cookware/dishware etc for easy mealmaking. Playing records from Adam's collection was memorable & reminiscent. The beds were very comfortable - especially nice with french doors looking out to the back yard and riverscape. The location is easy distance from Monte Rio, Jenner and Guerneville, paddleboarding, beaching, hiking nearby plus nice to walk our dog Lexie in the extended neighborhood. Adam was a great host. We highly recommend Adam's delightful cottage retreat, and look forward to future stays!

My friend and I loved our stay at Chad’s property! The place was exactly as described, and super cozy. The fire pit was amazing, and he had extra propane on hand. Both the front and back porches were great for a lowkey hangout. The neighborhood was quiet, quirky, and bohemian. It was a close drive to the local market for ingredients to make dinner in the amazing kitchen. Also it was close to local beaches/sites to launch for a river float. I would 100% go back. Plus we love how it was dog friendly!

Wow! This property is absolutely stunning. Private and peaceful, it’s straight out of a magazine! Just 6 minutes from the most beautiful hiking trail, Goodlove Trail and just minutes to drive to some of the most beautiful wineries! We truly enjoyed our stay and would love to visit again!

The location was perfect for exploring—close to the Russian River, Armstrong Redwoods, and not far from the coast. But honestly, just being able to relax in the quiet, surrounded by trees, was a gift in itself. We also really appreciated how warm and responsive you were throughout our stay. Thank you for a wonderful stay at your home. It provided a comfortable and peaceful setting for us to relax and recharge. The amenities were perfect—thoughtfully chosen and well-maintained. We especially appreciated the extra touches like the selection of snacks and coffees, which catered to a variety of tastes. Your responsiveness and attention to detail did not go unnoticed. We would definitely consider returning for a longer stay in the future!

We really enjoyed our stay here. Rooms were clean and well appointed. Bed was comfortable. Hot tub chemistry was well maintained (not always the case). Best of all, such a great location for anything in Monte Rio. We were there to see a concert and could walk to the beach, to town, and to and from the event. And after the event, we could sit out in the backyard in the hot tub under the beautiful redwoods (which were nicely lit) in the evening. Great spot. Would recommend and will stay there again if we ever have reason to be in Monte Rio. Plus Tom was very communicative as a host which I appreciate.

We arrived during a black-out of electricity. Cindy, our hosted, made us feel welcomed and assisted with genuine care of our concerns. We felt welcomed and cared for. The property was charming and it made us feel like we were truly in the country. Each cottage was detached--so no neighbors to listen through walls. Many thoughtful amenities throughout and the continental breakfast had quite a few options, including Oat Milk for those that cannot have dairy product. Great place to stay!

The property is beautiful, spacious, unique, rustic and sophisticated. It's location is fantastic for exploring Sonoma's Square and the Sebastiani tasting room on foot. As well as many other Sonoma amenities via short drive. The location is definitely PERFECT--6 out of 5!. My wife and I somehow were both under the impression that there were 2 bathrooms. I didn't re-read the listing, but there is only one and it is on the first floor down a long flight of steps from the rest of the unit. And if you're thinking hotel experience and watching TV from bed, the space isn't really arranged for that. But these were our only complaints. For us, though: 1) The staircase enhanced our steps and stair count on e week where we averaged 3-6 mi walking daily, and 2) we didn't really want to stay in and watch TV so this became a feature for us too. Host was excellent. Communicative, informative and friendly.
