Good place to stay for a night if you are with friends and flying out of Alesund Airport. Super close to the airport so can get up little late to catch early morning flight.

A very good option for those who want to experience the nice nature of the islands outside Ålesund, and at the same time have proximity to the city itself. For you with children this is especially suitable, with several bedrooms, two bathrooms, bathtub, two gantle benches, large living room etc. New, nice and "fresh", with most of what you need of amenities in the home. We had great communication with the host. They were available for small and big questions, and responded quickly and accommodatingly. Recommended.

I had the pleasure of hosting my wedding guests at Einar’s property, and they were absolutely mesmerized by the experience. The house itself is beautiful, with every amenity thoughtfully provided for easy access and comfort. The location is simply stunning, offering a peaceful and well-maintained environment that truly enhances the stay. One of the standout features is the convenient access to the ferry terminal that’s just a minute walk away. This made trips to Ålesund quick and enjoyable, with the journey taking only 15-20 minutes. The process of checking in and out was smooth and seamless, which further added to the positive experience. Overall, my guests were very happy with their stay and I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a serene and well-equipped place to stay with easy access to the city. The Host are very responsive if you need any assistance.

Was a nice stay in Ålesund, apartment was nice and good communition with the owner if there was any uncertainties.

Place was nice in a good location. Two things are not the best. First, it has no parking (you have to use public parking house for additional costs). Second, the shower is very small right next to the toilet. The living room, kitchen and bedrooms are nice.

We had an incredible stay at this charming apartment. Comfy, charming, clean. Close to the city centre and easy access. Would 100% stay again! Louis and Miriam are the lovelier hosts!

Beautiful apartment in a historical building. It was close to everything which we loved. It was easy to leave and walk a couple of minutes to a cafe or a restaurant. The bed was very comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked.

Outstanding place to spend time k. Alesund. Plenty of space and well equipped even for a longer stay. Flat was very well equipped and the kitchen had everything you might need to make a full meal. It is a 4th floor appt so you will carry your bags up the stairs, but you have your own landing to put boots/shoes/coats. The driveway is narrow (as described) but the parking space is fine. Alesund is a small town and the flat is very central to the shops, harbour, floating sauna, so a great location.

Dan’s place matched the photos and description perfectly. He was also extremely responsive, even when we wrote him at 11pm about not being able to locate the key. For future reference, the key box is hidden on the wall on the left side of the building, next to a door that’s a bit below ground level. If, like us, you get to Ålesund with the airport shuttle, you will arrive on Storgata, go down the road and turn right on Skategata. By walking this way, you will not see the lockbox that’s on the side of the building, as it is hidden by the wall it’s attached to. We also let Dan know that there were other lockboxes behind the gate on the left side of the building, which could cause confusion. The apartment was lovely, clean and spacious. The beds were comfortable, and there were plenty of linens and pillows available. The street was a little bit noisy at times but nothing major. We had a great stay!

Great host who responded quickly and was service minded to help us when the apartment was not fully prepared for a new rental. Voluntarily offered a refund. We were very happy with that. Central location, but those of us who are not used to traffic noise, there was some disturbing noise from the road that passed right outside the apartment. Recommended!

We loved our stay here!!! The place was as described and more ♥️ ! You don’t need to go anywhere else, just enjoy the house and the view. Thea is a great host! There were clear instructions and prompt response from her. She was very helpful as well with my queries. If you get a chance to book this place, please don’t miss out!

Great house in Ålesund!

We have been very happy to stay in the house. It was cozy and everything worked as it should. There are a lot of nice hiking opportunities right from the house.

This is a special place! Best of everything Norway has to offer. Quaint island community, a perfect peaceful getaway with easy and scenic drives to Alesund (15mins) or day trips to Loen, Stryn, and Geiranger. Traveled with another family and all had our own spaces, with beautiful accommodations, well appointed & extremely clean. The neighbor kids immediately greeted our two children and fast friends were made. We would sit outside on the deck or pier and listen to sounds of kids laughing and having fun everywhere, pulling fish, snails or crabs out of the water over & over again or playing at the local playground. Not to mention the hospitality of the neighbors (homemade strawberry jam, an evening fishing trip, and some local crab claw snacks). And hiking….. the most spectacular views hiking to Storhornet and back down the ridge to the island school. Meanwhile, the adults enjoyed the endless views from nearly every spot outside or inside the house. Core memories made!

Wonderful and unique property in a stunningly beautiful natural landscape. We wish we could have stayed longer to spend more time here. Easily the best lodging of our trip and likely the best airbnb we’ve ever stayed at. All of the various indoor/ outdoor areas at the property are awesome. And we were very lucky with weather and only one rainy day. It is quite steep/ many steps up and down between the main house, cabin, and boat house with additional lounge areas down by the water so may not be for everyone. Toril and her husband were also so gracious to show us all around the property at check in, even a bit later than expected. This place was very special and would love to stay there again some day!
