A charming 19th century house with a good atmosphere. The property is beautifully situated by the sea overlooking Ålesund and the Sunnmøre Alps. Only 15 mins with a car from Ålesund city and the nearest airport, but is still a place that gives peace of mind. Outside the garden there are cultivated fields with grazing animals in late summer. The island of Giske itself is a gem with a medieval marble church, beaches, untouched nature and birdlife. The island once housed Norway's most powerful noble family, the Arnungs and is mentioned in the Snorre saga.

Rorbua is located right down by the seafront in the harbour of Alnes with panoramic views of both the spring and the big sea. It's fascinating to follow the birdlife and boat traffic. The light changes throughout the day, you can see both sunrise and sunset from the living room window. This is a place where you can find peace. Right next to the main door there is good mark, varied hiking trails. You can also travel on day trips to Ålesund, Geiranger and Runde. On the neighboring island there is a water sports center with equipment rental.

The apartment is located at the top of Skaret on Valderøya just outside Ålesund with panoramic views of the shipping line long coast. 10-15 minutes drive to the center of Ålesund, about 10 min to the airport. Hiking opportunities just outside the door of the mountain Signal with views in all directions, or to the other islands Godøya, Giske or Vigra. At Alnes, located on Godøya, there is an art gallery/cafe with a view into the sea. Short distance to all the sights of Ålesund and Sunnmørsfjellene with all their hiking opportunities.

Your parking space is in front of our house, and you go down an exterior staircase to your entrance. The entry has a big wardrobe. Next is the modern and fully equipped kitchen. The bathroom has a shower and washer dryer combo. Down the hallway is a bedroom with a 150x200cm bed and a big closet, and a living room with a sofa bed that pulls out to 140x200cm and a crib. Her kan en nyte det beste av Ålesund, enten ved å bevitne vakker utsikt på byggets takterrasse eller nyte noe godt i kaféen i første etasje. Videre finner man alle sentrums fasiliteter rett utenfor inngangsdøren, med kort gangavstand til Skansekaia, Brosundet og til de berømte trappene opp til utkikkspunktet Fjellstua.

My place is good for couples, single travelers, and business travelers. Can also fit a small family. (Extra mattresses). Newly renovated farmhouse from 1894 which has retained its unique charm and old style :) The house is located on Ulla, Haramsøy (Haram municipality), with the sea as its nearest neighbour. It is a short distance to fishing opportunities and a bathing area, and the hiking trails are right outside the kitchen door. There will also be a boat available for free use during the stay at your own risk.
