The Stöckelkeller is the former inn in the village of Unternschreez near Bayreuth. By car, the university is 10 minutes away, the city center is 15 minutes away and the Festspielhaus is 20 minutes away. You will stay on 29 square meters (13 square meters of living & cooking; 11 square meters of sleeping; 5 square meters of bathroom) in modern, friendly rooms. We have equipped the apartment the way we like it when we travel. The house is right next to the small Margravial Schreez Castle. In 2021 & 2022, we completely renovated the house.

What sets this unique apartment apart the most: The incomparably beautiful view, both from the spacious balcony over Franconian Switzerland, as well as from the pergola in front of the entrance door over the festival and university city of Bayreuth. The apartment was completely renovated in 2015. A high-quality branded kitchen was newly installed in 2018. Location: Central yet in the countryside, with perfect connections (city bus) and free parking. The apartment is on the top 18th floor (penthouse feeling).

The contact with Tatjana was always reliable, very nice and welcoming. Even though the apartment was a bit outside for my activities on site and I rented a bike for it, the tranquility and the green surroundings were worth a lot to relax. I'd love to come back anytime!

We had a super nice short vacation in Schmellenhof. This was partly due to the quiet location, partly due to Konrad and Christine, who were excellent hosts and made every effort to ensure that we had a nice and relaxing stay. The apartment is surrounded by a lot of green nature and perfect for hiking or excursions in the area. The highlight is also the terrace, where you can end the evenings with the fire bowl.
