Monthly Rentals in Gémeos

This place is beautiful, very clean, the location is great. The building is stone and very old and sturdy. You can walk to a few good restaurants in the neighborhood or walk to the mall and historic downtown. It’s right next to a hospital and is in a high traffic area but the sounds were almost comforting to me. Like white noise. Staying alone, I preferred that to the quote of the countryside. The design of the loft is a thing of beauty, but the stairs would be hard to navigate for the elderly. The only issue I had was during my arrival at night the first day I was there. They provide great visual instructions but the driveway is right after a curve and it’s up a curb. Not like a driveway in the USA. It’s dark and you would not expect to go up a sidewalk curb to enter the driveway. It was not problem once I figured it out but again, at night it was hard to fine.

Lovely property which was quiet and secluded. Facilities and aircon excellent also. If I have any criticism there could have been better communication re fixtures and appliances, bins, recycling, etc. The instruction to access the keys was excellent though not all of us are familiar with electronic gates! The water pressure is not great for showering despite taking it in turns and the toaster tripped the fuse to the whole kitchen on arrival which was interesting trying to find the fuse board to put it right though Rodrigo did respond to our call quickly. On balance a lovely place and would consider visiting again.

Our stay was perfect, Vania is an extraordinary hotel. The place is beautiful, quiet and welcoming. Loved our stay and will definitely stay again. Vania's small touches (fresh bread every morning) and her joie de vivre charmed us. We were able to talk with her about places to visit and touristy corners to get to know her area. If I could give a 10 out of 5 I would. A big thank you to Vania and her whole family for their wonderful welcome!!!

If you need to discover Vizela and Guimarães or others … this is the perfect place with exceptional views when you wake up, every morning For us it was perfect, the welcome, the place as well as the two charming people who gave us the guided tour.
